Coming to work with swollen eyes and angry music on my headphones
What a fucking nightmare
I've always had good legs, strong arms and a heart full of conviction
I'm still crying btw, I have no idea how I'm going to face people tomorrow
I'm fucking terrified
I've always had good legs, strong arms and a heart full of conviction
I'm on the verge of eating my own fucking hair. How are we on this same place again? How is it posible that fascism is so close again?
My family was lucky.
My uncle was taken for over a year, they broke his nose and jaw on the first day. But he came back.
My parents refused to attend a ceremony with Pinochet at their job and were followed and harrased for a year. But nothing else happened.
My uncle was tortured for months. He lost his teeth. But he came back.
My grandfather was followed for a year, my aunt was arrested for a week and came back. She never said what happened that week.
My family was lucky. But others were not.

Truth, justice and reparation
Ni perdón ni olvido
52 years, still a divided country, with an increase of the ultra right wing that has me on edge for the next elections.
Verdad, justicia, reparación
Ni perdón ni olvido
To the cry "¡Nunca más!" (never again), thousands of Chilean women surround the Moneda Palace to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the violent coup d'état of September 11, 1973, in Chile. A cry for all Latin America: Never again!
