It will never not be amazing to me that BioWare made an entire dancing cutscene especially for Garrus and FemShep

I love the sitting arrangement here lol
some thoughts about hardening Alistair I posted on Reddit before and want to post it here too to see what ppl think
In DAO, if you want to harden Alistair, you’ll need to tell him “everyone is out for themselves, you should learn that” after his unlucky meeting with his sister. It just… doesn’t make sense to me? How can I blame Goldanna for “only caring about herself”? I know that Alistair’s biggest dream is to have a loving family and I love my boy, but it’s really not Goldanna’s fault that she doesn’t live up to his expectations. She already has a rough life and Alistair is never a brother to her. It’s unfair to expect her to suddenly become his big sister and love him unconditionally (and from what I’ve heard, according to the novels, they aren’t even actually related. That makes the whole situation even weirder!)
When I compare his hardening to Leliana’s, I find that Leliana’s hardening makes much more sense. Her personal quest revolves around Marjolaine, who used to be her mentor, a very important part of her past life, and the reason why she was in Lothering in the first place. Depending on your choices, you make an influence on her faith in the Maker and her opinion on her previous life as a bard.
Now come back to Alistair. In my opinion, Goldanna doesn't have the same kind of importance or impact on his life as Marjolaine did in Leliana's life. She represents his hope to have a big and loving family and it sucks when that hope got crushed, yes, but she's also not the reason why he grew up feeling unloved and unwanted. I really think Eamon should take on that role. He's a father figure to Alistair and has everything to do with how he was treated as a child. Also, hardening Alistair is basically about making him king, which is a plotline directly related to Eamon. Did Eamon choose to neglect him and lie about his mother because Alistair was unimportant and useless as a child? Does he want to make him king now because he sees an opportunity to be the puppeteer behind the throne? What would Alistair feel when he realize that Eamon is not the man he thinks he is? That would be interesting.
It’s their home world too
Here is almost 6 minutes of Garrus being absolutely sweet, needy, protective, and flirtyyyy.

the Legion romance we are robbed of
Here's some geth gifs for all the geth fans out there from a fellow one. Showing how cool these bots really are.
For when they are on your side for sure...
Pt.2
The farewell scene between Garrus and FemShep utterly wrecked me because in my headcanon, my Shepard always KNEW she was never going to make it back. She played along and talked about the future, discussing their retirement plans with Garrus because why not? It might make the both of them feel better.
But her voice cracked when she said "we just have to beat the Reapers first" because it had become too real when Garrus talked about adopting Krogan babies. It sounded too much like they could actually have that future. And she wanted this too much that it started to hurt.
Then Garrus talked about meeting each other at the bar in heaven because even in death, he couldn't imagine being separated from her. But my Shepard, while ready to sacrifice herself to save the galaxy, never wanted anything bad happen to her lover as long as she could help it. She would do anything she could to keep him safe, keep everyone safe. That's why she couldn't promise to meet him at that bar. The way she whispered "I'll be looking down. You'll never be alone" because she knew how much it would hurt him. She knew how empty the galaxy would be for him after she's gone. Jennifer Hale's voice acting is always brilliant but the way she delivered these lines is just PEAK and it broke my heart.
I did the synthesis ending and I remember listening to An End Once And For All playing in the background, watching Garrus putting Shepard's name on the memorial wall and I just couldn't stop crying for hours.
just finished Mass Effect LE for the very first time
i’m sorry how am I supposed to get on with my life after watching this ending 😭😭😭😭😭
Welcome to Omega.

I can't remember if I ever posted this, but it's friday, have some Legion flirting with a coffee machine :)

I hope the "What if Disco Elysium was about a witch finding her cat in the mountains" post never leaves the gaming discourse vernacular. It will never not be funny to me bc it's got all the Gamer Entitlement™ levels of CoD bros throwing hissy fits about "woke" shit but instead of being couched in far right reactionism it's the exact kind of "Kingdom of Conscience" style liberal outrage at anything with conviction and beliefs that DE waxed on about. Like even chuds who get mad that the game calls you out for being racist interact with the themes of DE better and understand them more than Cat Lady did.
I don't care what anyone says, I WILL NEVER agree with the decision to have Steven "With You 'Til The End Of The Line" Rogers ABANDON his best friend to go with Peggy. Fuck Marvel for that, respectfully.
i still hate endgame and marvel after six goddamned years
