I have a friend who is named warshop, but he hasn't made it to Tumblr yet. He and I are pretty close.

Accidentally fell asleep earlier and dreamt about an unpartnered ghost– I think her name was Seven?– who had a special little mech she went around in. It wasn't humanoid, to be clear; it was four-legged and about the size of a large dog. I think it might've had a turret gun on it that Seven could control. She teamed up with a Lightless former guardian who'd lost his ghost (for some reason I feel like his name might've been Michael) and they did some kind of wacky hijinks in Old Russia

Do it! Even if I ever turn it into a fanfic or something, you and I will naturally have very different interpretations!

In fact, if you'd like even more to work with, I left out a few details because I didn't want to make the original post long and/or confusing:

I remember Seven using some extendable arms on her mech to grab some kind of cannister, which I think it was their mission to recover. No idea what was in it, but it was yellow and the size of a typical drink thermos

At one point, Seven and Michael came across what seemed to be a "ghost graveyard" and Michael had a moment of remembering the trauma of losing his ghost (still not sure what exactly I saw in his flashback)

They also found a pile of some rods of "dark matter" (it looked a lot like the blade of the Darksaber from The Mandalorian, actually) and Seven was concerned about whether it was safe to be that close to it

The dream had an antagonist, seemingly a human woman, but she mostly stayed out of sight. She somehow had access to their comms and also used the PA system of the old abandoned tanker they found the cannister in, which... logically shouldn't still work? Might be something paracausal going on there

the way the traveler loved humanity so much that it only cared about saving it and the way it doesn't see the light as a gift but a burden and it's conscious of how it affects those who bear it and the way it views the guardian as its saviour and not the other way around and

So one of the reasons why the Traveler was so inactive between lightfall and final shape was because it was constanly trying to fight off The Witness, right?

So now that it's dead, could it be possible to see the Traveler take action in the fate saga? Or is it still too injured to really do anything rn? I do remember Micah-10 telling us that The Traveler's insides are still pretty fucked up even after we killed the Witness, that while cleansing, destroying cysts, guiding ghosts and fighting off hostile forces in the pale heart, the Traveler's damage is still too great

I suppose it deserves a break, Orb Mom has been through a lot

Tbh I just wanna see it scare the shit out of VI. The Nine need their ego a bit humbled imo

Yeah, the Traveler needs time to heal and it's also honestly questionable if it will ever be able to act in any significant way ever again. It's hard to know if the giant hole and all the damage it sustained can ever be truly repaired. Or, tbh, if the Traveler even really feels the need to do anything, given that its entire life has been fleeing from the Witness. Now that the Witness is dead, there's essentially no other similar threat (that we know of) that endangers the entire universe. Again, that we know of. The Traveler could be taking its long deserved retirement.

Another thing to consider is also that they probably don't want the story to rely on the Traveler's actions, even though the Traveler just being there does beg the question of "why doesn't it do something." Other than the fact that the Traveler rarely actually does something in the first place, given it's philosophy of not wanting to influence or force choices on others. But it's definitely a good question to ask in regards to the Traveler and how it perceives the Nine and their threats. Does it even matter to the Traveler? You'd think that maybe it does, given Eclipse, but it's also possible that this simply isn't that much of a threat to the Traveler itself. We just don't know.

The Traveler being incapacitated indefinitely seems to be the best way to prevent asking why every threat and enemy isn't being dealt with by it. Which has been the staple of the whole franchise tbh, but also now even more important since we're in the new saga and they probably don't want to have the Traveler intervening.

Personally, I would love to see the Traveler's thoughts on the Nine, and everything that's going on and also an update on how it's doing. Probably not a priority of any kind, but maybe one day we'll get something!

I was just walking around the EDZ (great patrol space for being the oldest one in the game. I think it is the oldest at least ) and while I was doing a scan patrol, it bought me to a rather remote place where I could see a shape on the horizon. Quickly realized it was the Traveler's shard.

I've joined Destiny 2 rather late. Right before Final Shape dropped. So I wanted to ask if the Traveler's shard is still canonically in the EDZ? Or if it's still glowing in a weird divine storm among the horizon? I know that Uldren took a piece in Forsaken. A cult of Osiris base was near the shard too.

I mean, I would assume it's still left on Earth. The Traveler still looks like it has a chunk missing out of it.

Wonder if we'll ever help get the shard back to the Traveler to heal if that's case

Yep, the shard is still there. It's a piece of the Traveler that was struck off during the Collapse. Really interesting because it could never be re-attached again to the main body even when the Traveler reformed at the end of Arrivals, though the Shard did react to the event.

I'm assuming the damage done is too great and it was too long ago and during an event highly influenced by Darkness that it's simply not possible for the Shard to be reunited with the main body. It seems to be permanent damage, and also permanently stuck in the EDZ.

Sooo... Oryx has been possibly finished. It took longer than I wanted but his reference is done. I am now torn between finally doing the comics. Or making another reference art but for Ada-1. Also please, my connections and lore text for him might not be 100% accurate.

Finally, I got to these after so much time. Thought I wrote abt these drawings long time ago like almost a year ago, but it was in May.

On the second pic are Ir Halak and Ir Anûk that are younger. If to base their age and look of what we saw at the Krill time, then maybe Acolyte stage (I assumed they weren't Thralls on official illustrations bc of having visible eyes, but I may be wrong) can have a more wide age range where they can be young and adult, where they only need to consume Hive mother jelly or transform to a Knight. Idk even how aging works for the Hive with their Hive Worm hunger and transformation or did it stay the same as the Krill had. It might all be wrong. At the end, I wanted to draw them with eyes here and to have more developed helmets that have these little horns, that are a starting form of their final helmets at older age.

I was wondering if these Hive like Lokaar, Omnigul, Warpriest and etc. are the oldest/other Hive from the Fundament that decided to accept Hive Worms and to fly away with the Hive Gods, and so they are not relatives to them.

That's an abrupt thing but from some reason I was sure that Oryx gave a birth to his spawn or manifested them magically. But then I read about his first talk with Crota where he mentions a mother. Why no name. Or does it work differently for Hive Gods and they're too cool, so their spouses' names can't stay near with their names.

I don't understand why Hashladun was considered bad for being a big and strong Thrall. Are these some ordinary Hive standards and it was unfair. And I like the story of Lokaar getting in the Court and these Hive quirks in such means (or maybe Oryx is the funniest Hive). When I saw her for the first time, I said that she's the most butch Hive Wizard that I ever saw and that's cool. And it's still a mystery why some Hive Wizards have their chest armour being human breast shaped. Because why would they want to be similar to humans. Or did they just saw other species like this, including humans, and thought that they like these convexities and want to grow their chitin like this. Again, idk if in the tags I need to write them with "û" or with "u".

Was ought to draw some parts without the hand band to which I got used too much, and so it became uncomfortable to draw without it. I thought it would dry quicker. Maybe it's not healthy and more harmful if I wear it for the most time of the day. Idk, I still didn't see a doctor

I still need to figure out how Oryx's wings look and work. They may look differently in some pieces of mine. But they're so cool in the cutscenes I didn't draw him from the back view a lot. Would want to do it more when I can see his original back better now. And I was forgetting how beefy his model's wings are (they look thinner in some official art) But I like to give him these little wing fingers with membrane.

Wanted to do full 4 pages but was getting too tired and couldn't come up with good ideas to fille the 4th page, so at the end I left it like this, one pic

Will there really be solo options for all Strikes in The Edge of Fate that I was hoping were added in earlier updates (but still if it's finally them then cool!!)

And I hoped that you can get armor sets from these Dungeons in The Rites of The Nine, because I don't have them and I liked the look of their armor, but it's not. Might be fair bc what would be the meaning of it when other people could buy these dungeons already (and if these pieces could go mostly for my Titan and Hunter, when my Warlock already has more glued clothes to him). Tried to do the solo 3 lvl Spire of the Watcher but I couldn't bear more of the last boss fight. At least, after one of the fights I got a shiny(?) funny sidearm with animated cosmic shader. Pretty
