My roommate wants to charge my bf rent and utilities. My bf doesn’t live here but stays most nights. He has a few clothes and his xbox in my room but none of his other things.

I don’t think he should pay rent or utilities since we’re using the same amount as before.

My bf is very good about pitching groceries and helps me clean the apartment compared to my roommate who does not.

Was it wrong of me to tell my roommate that I won’t charge my bf rent or utilities unless he actually moves in ?
