Tommy glances back when he hears Raynor speak, eyes narrowing at the stranger “Listen I just wear what Kate tells me to,” Tommy wasn’t above admitting that he had literally no taste when he came to fashion. “And she decided green was my color.”

“There’s supposed to be a line?” Tommy asks, and it’s more or less a serious question. All he had inherited from the Shepherds was a model of how not to raise a child. So when it came to Zion he gave them everything he could within his power and didn’t often think twice about it. As far as he was concerned they deserved the world. “Spoil away, I guess.”

How Aki wound up basically running a makeshift childcare for the day is well beyond him. He’s not even sure he’s qualified to be here, and yet somehow he’s sitting with three kids between the ages of four and six, all watching him with wide eyes as he finishes off a story in an attempt to keep them occupied. “Okay - now that we’ve all had a happy ending, do you kids want to grab a juice box?” He asks hopefully, very much relieved when they all nod and run over to grab one each, giving Aki a chance to shoot Tommy a relieved glance. “I’m almost out of books, man - we need to think of something else.”

When he was younger Tommy never would have expected that he would end up being a natural when it came to taking care of children. Yet here he was anyway finding it quite easy to keep the children he’d been put in charge of taking care of amused. When Aki sends his half of the group for more juice Tommy does the same. Tommy hadn’t even realized they were running out of entertainment until Aki points it out. “Do you think a nature walk would be safe?”

Rowan leaves the cafeteria as soon as she can. There’s someone there, she can see them but no one else even seems to notice. Do they not care? She can’t stand this, she won’t go back. Andy disappeared a few times, and then they killed her. Rowan–now with a name and a desire for freedome–knows that going back would be painful if not deadly.

She runs, looking over her shoulder for the mutants hunting her. Too distracted to notice the other in the hall until she crashes into him. She throws up a telekinetic shield, certain they’d attack. @feelthestxrm

Tommy wasn’t paying much attention as he zoomed through the halls, but then he ran into someone strange. Then he finds that he can’t move forward anymore, curiosity takes over as he taps the shield a few times. When he finds that he still can’t pass it he turns to the girl blocking his path, shooting her an annoyed look until he sees how scared she is. Angry as he is right now Tommy is still a hero at heart and with a sigh he puts his hands down. “Is something wrong?” Tommy inquires, putting his best effort into not sounding annoyed.

      loriel knew rage.  she knew anger.  and she knew confusion.   the feeling and weight of the sword in her hand felt right,  but the lace of the odd dress she was wearing was alien enough to throw her off.    also, the fact she was in a library, on the other side of the universe,  in what appeared to be a fake / modified version of the earth she could once call home.     but this was  a hell ;  not the brooklyn ikea one.    it was a falsified something,      and as soon as the asgardian found someone causing havoc,  she could only assess them as an enemy,   though perhaps by the way they were acting –     a fellow victim of whatever cruel god cast them aside into a fake forgotten realm ?

Tommy has to crane his neck up to actually see her, but when he does he recognizes her as his team mate. “I didn’t run into anything, a- and I’m not small you’re a fucking giant,” Tommy spat back. Tommy tried to remind himself the Loriel was his friend, but it didn’t do much in his current state of mind as he felt the rage continue to boil over his rational mind. “I don’t- why would I know the way out if you don’t?”

Tommy had already long ditched the library and started roaming the halls aimlessly causing minor property damage along the way as needed to keep himself from blowing this whole place to smithereens when he literally ran into Cassie, crashing right into his long time friend. He almost swings at them on pure instinct before he realizes who it is. Then his anger takes on a much different form as he grabs their arm and shouts at them, “What the fuck do you think you’re doing out here? Are you trying to get yourself killed again?”

Tommy was anxious enough to be stuck in the library with a bunch of strangers already. He’d quickly sectioned himself alone in a corner once they’d arrived and had every plan of staying there until the storm passed them by. Then the fog came, and with it came a sudden feeling of irritation that quickly turned to an unsettling rage. 

Now Tommy was no stranger to anger, not even the kind of anger that seemed all consuming. Years of therapy had armed him with plenty of tools to calm himself down when he was frustrated, and he went through them all one by one but only found his anger growing. Eventually when it was too much to bear he realized something; he had to get out of here before he hurt someone else and so he made his way towards the library’s sealed exit. 

He almost it too, then he bumped into one of the library’s many stacks and to say the poor books never had a chance was an understatement. As soon as Tommy’s fist hit the offending piece of wood it was all over as the atoms that made it up violently exploded. Tommy was enjoying the good feeling he got from blowing something to pieces when he heard somebody breathing behind him. The next second he was right in front of them, staring them down and screaming in their face, “What do you want?”

My positive social interaction budget maxes out at about 10 people a day, so I can safely say it’s not the life for me,” just thinking about stretching himself further than that was borderline getting on his nerves. He was pulled out of his thoughts though when the other loudly proclaimed that they would be going. “We shall,” Tommy said with a smile and soft laugh. Tommy turned back to facing the actual direction he was walking in. “Try to keep up.”

ivar was a bit over eager but that was just a part of his personality, even as a kid he was way too excited to start his training. sometimes he didn’t completely understand why people were a smidge put off by his attitude but he really didn’t care too much, he’d been alive a hundred years and once you hit fifty, those kind of worries start to melt away a bit. “ great ! “ the black haired man mused with a wide smile, he was excited to get coffee with this stranger even though he’d tried the drink his first day in midgard and immediately detested it. “ ah i see but you’re the only person i’ve asked. “ the asgardian replied quickly before shrugging. “ so ? is that a bad thing? “ ivar raised a brow at the other man. 

“I guess it’s not really a strictly bad thing, it’s just that if you aren’t interested and people get their hopes up that kinda sucks for them,” Tommy replied with a shrug of his own, suddenly seeming unsure of why he’d bothered to point it out in the first place. “Do you know where you wanna go?” Tommy asked as he began walking again, still facing the other man. “I’m partial to hundreds of thousands, but if you’d prefer something different I’m fine.”

as the flash of white hair finally turned to face him, the intrigue grew even more as they spoke. ivar clutched his journal to his chest, pencil in his other hand, looking like a real idiot but he didn’t care, he was on a mission and as an asgardian, missions were very serious business. “ i was told to find a muse for my writing course and i just find you very fascinating.. is there any way i could take you to coffee, that’s what midgardians do right? coffee? i’d like to know you. “ the black haired man quickly rambled out, remembering that midgardians had different rituals when it came to meeting people and coffee was one of them, it was always coffee. 

Tommy’s first thought once he gets a good look at this person and the way he’s clutching his journal is that he might be a journalist. Though that would have made more sense if they were still in the 1950s and not the 2010s. Then when the other mentioned ‘midgardians’ the whole picture became a lot clearer. “Sure, we can get coffee,” not that the speedster actually needed caffeine but he’d never turn it down. Nor would he turn down the chance to get a nice ego boost from a cute boy. “Just so you know though if you go around asking people out for coffee some of them are gonna think you’re into to them, like romantically into them.”

something that ivar hadn’t anticipated joining the midgardian society as a student was the homework. back on asgard the only homework he had were training, practicing his craft and honing it on his own time, no term papers and tests on paper. at first, he detested going but after a while he realized his writing had grown to improve so he decided to give the midgardian professors a chance before discrediting them. his critiques were pretty good except he’d been told to venture outside the grief he felt since 90% of his poetry was about his brother death. they told him to search for something or someone else to focus on, to write about that and that was the assignment so ivar took it seriously. he sat on a bench outside of the paragon class building and watched as students walked in and out, trying to find something or someone who made him feel inspired. he was starting to lose hope until a flash of white hair caught his green gaze. it was an indescribable moment in time, ivar felt that spark - the need to know them immediately. the asgardian jumped to his feet and hurriedly sped after the platinum blonde, almost having to run after him since the other seemed to walk so fast. “ excuse me - can… i ask you for a favor ? “ ivar exclaimed, hoping that the other would stop and if he was lucky, not think he was a crazy person.

Tommy rarely pays much attention as he moves around the campus. Often times he’s so lost in his own thoughts that the the rest of world exists primarily as something to dodge. It was like that today until he realized someone was trailing behind him, and then that they were calling out to him. In an instant Tommy turns on his heel to face the stranger. “I mean that really depends,” Tommy replies as he pushes his hair from his face to get a better look at the other. “What do you need?”

Much of the salary Aspen got from S.H.I.E.L.D was spent on food. A plethora of junk food and sweets, in particular, took up most of her allotted storage space in her dorm. Even close to a decade of easy access to things like that, it was a habit she had made no attempt to shake. “I think a lot of people don’t appreciate ice cream. It’s a shame.”

“Definitely not,” Tommy had to speak between bites of the quart he’d gotten from himself. It was one of the many great side benefits of his abilities that he could basically eat anything at anytime and never have to worry about it. “Especially when it comes to eating ice cream in winter, even my own twin judges me for that.”
