I donāt know if youāre anything like me, but every time I see a new and different protein bar on the shelf, I pick it up. Maybe Iāll love this one? Maybe it wonāt have the texture of dried glue? These are the bestĀ days.
Today we went on a little family bike ride. Actually, for us it was pretty longāalmost 8 miles. My kids are getting so big so quickly, and theyāre able to handle more. Itās fun. Our area has an awesome (mostly) paved trail system next to the Boise River called the Greenbelt. Itās almost entirely wooded, so thereās lots of shade, and the sound of the water is cooling and soothing as you ride. Onā¦

A Leisurely Morning
Since weāve moved, we now live in a little town of 20,000 instead of a city of more than 100,000. I love it so much. Today I took a little hike with my kids. Itās the last day of my 30s, and I wanted to spend it on an adventure with them.
Iāve grown to love the outdoors, and it was so fun to hike through the water and explore somewhere new.
I know some people feel anxiety or distress over turning 40. Not meāI feel so much more capable and wise than I did at 30, or pretty much any other year I can think of. I love growing older. I feel like Iām slowly becoming the person Iām supposed to be. At least, I hope so! Thatās the goal.

Getting older is aĀ pain No pun intended, but seriously. It is MAY, and I hurt myself back in October. I've talked to two different doctors who both thought it was tendinitis and it would "go away in a couple of months." Um.
