Black Out/Outdoor Feis today…. Well, at least my hair looked good.

Really solid feis yesterday! It was the first feis for a bunch of dancers from my school and they all danced so beautifully (credit to our lovely and insanely supportive TC @peepsinchina)! I got to watch @lots-of-treble ‘s hardshoe round and was super impressed and then she came in 7th!!!!!! out of 22!!!!!!!  She needs to slow down or we will never be in PC together because she’ll be in opens already. My child Haley (whose instagram I shamelessly screenshotted) won her hornpipe and treble jig. I won reel (!!!! halfway there!) and slip jig and got second in trad set. 

Last but not least I now get to wear this beautiful dress ( that I definitely do not do justice to in these photos because I look like a potato). Next time I won’t start taking my wig out and then do pictures (or forget lipstick and earrings………….#gome #imastar #legslooknicetho)  Shoutout to @thefeckinpiper and @thefeckinmom for being the nicest people to buy a dress from ever/for having the most beautiful dress in the world). 

And now I have to do a weekend’s worth of work in ten hours because I slept basically 12 hours last night.

my city is burning to the ground… The Brady Academy of Irish Dance Fort McMurray studio has been destroyed and all that is left of it is ash and broken dreams.. John Brady of Calgary was kind enough to set up a go fund me: https://www.gofundme.com/22ky7yc to help us recover and rebuild. We know we’ve lost our 2nd home and now we are waiting to see if our real homes will survive this disaster. Its been a hard few days and the worst is far from over but the support and love we’ve received from the irish dancing community all over the world is unbelievable and we are so grateful ❤️ if you can donate… thank you ❤️ and if you can donate again please donate to the canadiana red cross to help all of Fort mcmurray as we recover from this nightmare.
