Okay so you should all go watch Timeless because it almost didn’t get a season two and I want a season three
Timeless is a time travel show and it’s literally amazing.
So this guy
is Garcia Flynn. The bad guy. The textbook example of “cool motive still murder.” He stole a time machine from the government because of pretty good reasons that I won’t spoil for you and decides he’s going to go back in time and change US history by doing things like killing presidents and killing…other people. Mostly his plans involve killing lots of people. How did Flynn manage to steal a time machine from the government? Tbh I don’t really know. I’ve watched season one twice and if they ever actually told us how he managed to get into the top secret lab in the first place, it never stuck with me.
“But Kee,” you say. “I’m not American. I don’t know anything about American history. Will I understand this show?” As a Canadian, I can see where you’re coming from. How are you supposed to know what event this seemingly random date is supposed to represent? That’s what the fun little flashbacks at the beginnings of the episodes are for! On most episodes, they show you how the day is supposed to go before Garcia Flynn fucks it up. So they’ve got our backs. And even if they don’t have the flashback, usually at least one member of the Time Squad doesn’t know what the date means and someone will kindly explain it to them. So you shouldn’t have any problem following the history part even if you know nothing about American history.
So anyway this lady
aka Agent Christopher has to gather a team of elite time travelers to take the other time machine to stop him. Because they just conveniently happen to have a second time machine. Also Agent Christopher is pretty cool. She’s got a wife and some kids and her daughter does ballet.
Who is on this crack team of elite time travelers? These nerds.
Lucy Preston, the Historian
Lucy is a history professor and she’s pretty bad ass. Her sister gets erased from existence thanks to one of Flynn’s time travel murder sprees, so she’s got a deal with Christopher that they’ll figure out how to get her sister back after they stop Flynn. Everyone from James Bond to Harry Houdini is into her in the past because that’s just how cool she is. She’s also not-so-subtly into Wyatt, but doesn’t act on it cause they’re too busy saving the world. Which leads us to…
Wyatt Logan, the Soldier
Wyatt is just there cause he got assigned to the time travel universe saving project. He’d rather go back to trying to figure out who murdered his wife. But he gets invested in saving history (and flirting with Lucy) so he’s pretty cool with time travelling now. He’s even less subtle about being into Lucy, but they’re pretty oblivious to each other’s affections. Who is not oblivious, you ask? That would be member number three:
Rufus Carlin, the Pilot
Rufus is pretty cool. He’s a genius and helped designed the time machines and is one of like three people in all of history who can pilot them. He’s a geek and is into Jiya and is super awkward (and relatable) about it until something happens that makes him decide to act on his feelings. He’s got a lot of great one liners, and would really rather go home to where he doesn’t need to risk his life every day.
So these three are travelling through time trying to save it from Flynn and having some cool adventures and meeting some cool people and almost dying and almost being murdered or trapped in the past by Flynn and his pals. There’s also the mysterious Rittenhouse, which no one knows anything about except the people who do know things but are super sketchy and don’t give anybody answers.

Jiya who is a super adorable nerd and I love her
Connor Mason who is super sketchy and I wouldn’t trust to watch my sandwich

Anyway, definitely go watch Timeless. It’s awesome and season two started last weekend and airs on Sundays. Season one is on Netflix, and you can watch season two on Global if you’re in Canada and NBC in the States, and I’m not sure where in other countries. But please watch it! We almost didn’t have a season two, and it’d be awesome if we could get a season three.
GUESS WHOSE DAY IT IS????? It’s my mommy’s birthday and I couldn’t wish her a more happy birthday! I love you sososososoooo much and I don’t know what I would do without you. You’re my best friend, you’re my mom and you’re my rock. Here’s to many more crazy road trips, more travels and more memories. I couldn’t have landed a better mother ever. This will forever be my favourite show ever…I grew up with Charmed and it will always be that one show I will never forget or ever get tired of…
Most iconic fantasy show of all time…most iconic siblings of all time…most iconic opening of all time…Charmed is just the greatest at everything…
No other show will ever compete for me…oh my heart…Charmed was literally my entire childhood and it’ll always be with me…
