i find it interesting how monsties tend to be on the smaller side compared to their wild counterparts. i’m assuming some of it has to do with a monstie’s age, being combat prepared rather early on in life (maybe late adolescence or young adults), but considering how domestication is often through selective breeding for smaller animals thus making them easier to control (hence why dogs are smaller than wolves), that could be the best explanation.

it’s still a hilarious thought that, assuming riders do breed their own monsties bc i don’t see why not, there is a monstie out there that managed to become idfk chihuahua sized and probably lives its days surrounded in squeaky toys

Hunter, duh.

Cart felyne, to pull hunters out of khezu.

Palico, to save hunters from khezu.

Prowler, still a felyne, need no hunter.

Melynx, need no hunter, need no Guild, only your tribe and your wits.

Smith, making the best hat out of that garuga stomach.

Doctor, for all the people who get poisoned, dismembered or burned.

Melder, whatever it is they do with their pots.

Trader, travelling, connecting the world.

Fisher, those plesioths are begging for the hook.

Cook, what would we even do without cooks?

Receptionist, those uniforms are fabulous.
