That moment you realise you forgot about Tumblr for 6+ months.....

Oh hey, hi, long time no see.....

Things got a bit wild the latter half of 2025 and a few things had to give, like posting on tumblr for one.

So i guess a little re-introduction and what I've been doing design wise in that time is probably needed.

So hello, hi! I'm Fiona, a small bookish business owner! I use she/they pronouns and identify as non-binary (this is a relatively new change so still fully deciding on labels but already feel a lot better about myself since the realisation!)

I am a lover of romance books, magical girls, cats and everything purple. I am getting back into reading YA/Sci-fi/Fantasy but I mostly still read romance!

Since my last post here, I sadly lost one of my cats, Branston, to kidney disease so am now just a 1 cat household. Artemis is thriving though <3

I have been a busy bee since my last post here so:

My bookish pronoun pins got funded on kickstarter, in all 4 colour ways, and now have homes in several physical and online stores as well as my own online store!

Since then I've made new wooden items, themed around love, obviously haha. My Love Of Books project was just so cute, I love them so much! Shop them here!

I loved having new stickers so much after that project that I MADE EVEN MORE!! A bunch of new holographic stickers as well as 2 new mini stickers. Shop all my stickers here!

With the start of 2026, I of course had to launch a new project! So I did. 6 new bookshelf markers were funded in January on kickstarter and are currently in production. You can late pledge to get your hands on one of them before anyone else outside of the kickstarter! Have a look at everything here!

I am currently working on my next project, new enamel pins but I am not fully ready to annouce yet so you'll have to check back for that :) Here is a hint: ☀️🌒⚔️ hehe!

I’ve been posting all the books I’ve read each month in 2026 on IG & TT, and realised I should probably post them here too, so here are the books I read in April!

All Superheroes need PR by Elizabeth Stephens - 4.25 stars - This was HILARIOUS! If you are looking for a fun fast paced alien romance then this is for you!

The Impossible Garden of Clara Thorne by Summer N England - 4.5 stars - I am a sucker for a good queer witchy story and this did not disappoint. I love a story about the journey as much as about the final destination.

Floating Hotel by Grace Curtis - 4 stars - I was given this a while ago and decided to pick it up on a whim as it’s not a long book. At first I was a little confused moving around all the characters of the hotel but once it hit the halve way point, I saw how clever this book really was and really enjoyed it!

Storygraph reading challenge - Diverse Romance Tropes Challenge 2026. Every month we are given a trope and have to pick a BIPOC or LGBTQIAP+ (or both!) book to read with that trope.

April trope: Opposites Attract. Book: All Superheroes need PR by Elizabeth Stephens. (For those with a good memory, this is NOT the book I had planned to read for this month’s trope challenge. I did actually DNF my original pick 🫣)

May trope: Secret Identity. Book hopeful: Next Level Love by Shameez Patel. (I have actually already this in May and so far it is the only book I’ve read in May 🫠)

Why Backerkit and not Kickstarter?

I’ve been wanting to try Backerkit for a while, get a feel for it and see if I like it more as a platform or if it makes no different either way etc etc. They have a dedicated section just for enamel pins so that is why I decided to try it out with this project in particular. Plus it is a small campaign so if anything goes awry it should be easy to fix 🤞 Most things for pledges will be pretty similar, the only main difference is that shipping will be charged later, closer to shipping, so this might be handier for those who are international? Hopefully anyways 😅

I had an order over the weekend that had some of my recent bookish holographic stickers, mini stickers and prints, which made me realise I posted about these once in mid December on IG/TT and then haven’t really mentioned them anywhere again since 🫠😅 oops? I’ve really got to stop this, it’s a bad habit 😂

I’m so excited to be bringing all these to my next event, Power Con in Glasgow, in less than 2 weeks time eeek! I’ll be closing the shop next week before the event so you have a little over a week to order if want anything in early March! (I’m so hype for my first event of the year lol, LET’S GOOOOOO!)

I've split the second goal down into 2 and have put as much of my own money into the campaign as I can to try to help get everything funded! (I was already covering a protion of the shipping costs and some of the buffer which goes towards covering the costs of any failed pledges at the end of the campaign)

The Pink/Silver & Blue/Gold variants are already unlocked! This is all about those final 2 variants!

Purple/Gold variant NOW unlocks at £850

That means we are only £84 away from unlocking this variant!

Teal/Silver variant NOW unlocks at £1,100

That means we are only £334 away from unlocking this variant!

The project is expected to run January 31st 6PM GMT to February 28th 6PM GMT to give as much time as possible to hit the goals! And KS will ONLY charge you if the project is successful on the 28th Feb, no money is taken at the time of pledge.

Pins are now expected to ship around June 2025 though this is just an estimate and there could be delays out of my control (was originally May but some things have come up already that could delay so pushing to June just to be sure)

Neither myself nor KS can collect VAT/Import fees etc so if you are outside of the UK please plan with those additional fees in mind! Limited shipping. I will NOT be able to ship to NI & EU due to the new GPSR that came into effect in Dec.
