another ten days of swordtember went by! here are some of the swords that i’ve been posting daily on bluesky🗡️ only ten days of the challenge left! thank goodness

Unsealed Lands tarot series; Judgement

Mini infodump about her sword because I spent a bunch of time redesigning it:

It's meant to be a depiction of the soul's journey to the underworld -- from bottom to top: flying soul (with a coin in its mouth for charon) => path to melinoë (pattern suggests the soul is being pulled forward) => central eye surrounded by creepy hands (representing melinoë herself; the crossguard is shaped like pincers, like it could grab the soul) => path to the underworld (straightish lines; no deviations) => underworld gates (past the threshold the gates are shaped like a gravestone with pomegranate and six seeds motif on it).

also the blade makes up the train trailing behind the soul as it leaves the spot where it died; ie the blade itself is a starting point for a soul on its journey to the underworld.

I saw a few people liked my sword design thank u so much!!! The part in the fic that stuck out to me about the sword was “it was supposed to be a symbol/ used for more decorative purposes than to be used as an actual weapon” hehe

Sumarbrander (Jack/Sword of Summer ) quick design for @thatonecoveyin12

the pic quality is ASS so if you want, click on the pictures for closer view. I did just a short design because I don’t actually know how to draw a sword. In the book, Sumarbrandr is described as having a rounded tip more for hacking than cutting, so I tried to show that a little bit with still keeping the shape of a sword. I think they also mentioned the pommel in the books so I tried to make that look significant. I went for a sort of stylized sun design at the base of the hilt, just because I felt like that represented the original owner (Frey) as well as the current owner (Magnus)

The runes down the middle are two variations of Ingwaz as well as Fehu, the rune symbolizing wealth, and also the one that Magnus is described to have hanging around his neck when Jack is in that form.
