you tell all the families of indigenous australians that have died in police custody in the past 10 years due to excessive force or due to being left in the back of a fucking 40 degree celsius van to remain calm and tell their oppressors patiently about what they’re doing while they still repeatedly do it over and over

you tell all the children who lost their families and were raped and abused during the stolen generation to remain calm and to tell their oppressors and abusers patiently about what they’re doing wrong while they continue to do it right in your face

you tell all the indigenous australians that have significantly less employment opportunities and have to rely on unemployment checks from centrelink (half of which is taken away from them and designated to specific places REGARDLESS of whether or not they have an addiction - and this is only for indigenous people, non-indigenous people on unemployment checks don’t get half their money taken) to remain calm and patiently tell their oppressors what they’re doing wrong

you tell all the indigenous australians that are constantly spat at for being lazy but have to go to 47% more job interviews than non-indigenous australians to land a job despite having the same qualifications to remain calm

you tell all the indigenous australians in the northern territory whose unemployment and drug addiction and alcoholism and poverty the government is making money off of to remain calm

you tell all the indigenous australians that are stuck overrepresented in our australians prisons because of a racist fucking criminal justice system to remain calm

you tell all the indigenous australian youths who are stuck in a cycle of poverty and alcoholism and drug addiction because of white people to remain calm
