xyx and mc doing a very dramatic but very intense scene and it gets to the point mc doesn't seem like they're acting anymore - crying very heavily or something like that - and after shot xyx comes and checks on them?

The crew is silent as a graveyard, locked onto the scene in front of them. Toaster can't help but smile as they watch -- this is why they do it. For moments like these.

The two actors glare at each other on the set as the camera rolls. The air is palpably tense between them.

"I told you that I... I loved you." Xyx spits through gritted teeth.

"You didn't mean it," you bite back.

"'You didn't mean that'," Xyx repeats back, mockingly. He runs a hand through his hair. "Please."

"You never meant it."

"I--"

"Makisig." You cut him off and your voice breaks as you say his name. He stops. Stares. You can't read his face.

"I know you've been using me. You can't deny what I heard." Your voice wavers. "The fact that you would stand here, and tell me that I don't know what I heard--"

"Because you don't!!"

"Shut the fuck up!!"

"Excuse me?"

"Stars in your heart, sugar on your fingers..." You grab your heart reflexively. Something hurts. It actually hurts.

Xyx's eye twitches as he watches your movement. But he waits for your next line.

It chokes out of you. "You were my string of light in a dark room." You can feel the tears start to leak. "You were my warmest blanket, my two AM secret... you were all of that to me."

He raises his hand and you step back.

He doesn't stop you.

"You made me believe I was worth something. Anything." You wipe your eyes lamely. "Well. You technically did follow up on that part, I suppose. Just not how I thought you would."

"Max--"

"How did it feel? Kissing me, and knowing the whole time you were just playing a part--"

"I wasn't."

You shake your head. "It doesn't matter anymore."

You step off the set and the director shouts cut. Your heart is pounding painfully and you try to repress a sob from clawing out of your throat.

The crew claps, but you continue walking until you're out of sight.

Xyx stares after you.
