in my defense, i was left unattended
medicative. * doc.
you have to earn the spark. it was a mighty endearing sentiment, wasn’t it? the thought, those words, nearly made him balk he did get away with a scoff, however. “ you’re bargaining with me. the patient is bargaining with me, the doctor. isn’t that lovely. ”
the cigarette at his lips, he resigned to his hand. he wasn’t one to barter; embron found the task tedious and fruitless, but here, her abilities mattered. she was could be the catalyst to a pandora’s box of discovery and research, he needed her. embron sighed. “ alright. alright, deal. ”
she dares not hide her delight , legs crossing almost in victory. the smile on her lips is vulpine / hint of cruelty. legs swing childishly , the gleam in her eye never once faltering.
❛ i’ll give you time , you’ll need it . ❜ woe to the good doctor , she’s known for her difficulty. a vexatious if not darling girl , probably been that way since day one ! ❛ i think it’s only fair i warn you about my dislike of doctors . their prodding , their needles . ❜ she’s spent much too long among the test tubes , the fluorescent lights were almost nightmarish. yet she reminds herself she’s no prisoner , and far from a useless damsel. thus : no fear.
starincarnates. * billy.
SHE’S ALL SNARLS AND SNAPS, RETALIATION at its very finest in the face of a wolfish maw spreading. look at her—she’s so serious, so adamant about it! so very sure of herself, the soundness of her grand plan: just tell him ‘stop!’ ( manners are only optional ).
but it takes two to play a game, and he’s already so very tired, with too little much to lose. his wounded PRIDE, his most beloved camaro? she’s DREAMING. but he’ll give her credit where it’s due: she’s bold, and it sets her far apart from the rest of such a borderline depressing crowd. for that, he’ll let her demanding nature slide this once.
and just like that, semi-humored demeanor goes snuffed, and he inches closer, his eyes holding her like daggers. it shouldn’t take much to push her toward the edge, all things CONSIDERED. she most likely doesn’t have a death wish. either way, there’s no chance she’d want to redeem it with him.
“ no. i’m leaving, so you get out of the fucking car. now. ”
he is feral. kereosene to her flame. he edged closer , reeking of cheap booze ! but gods be damned if she’d shy away. spine straight , chin high --- his venom hits her and tempts her rage. ( who does he think he’s talking to ? )
teeth grit , give her some credit for holding back. ❛ watch your fucking language . ❜ charming. ❛ you’re not going anywhere like this , and i’m not letting you . ❜ red - tipped hand reaches outwards , expecting the keys to fall right in her palm. MAKE IT EASY. but she already feels he won’t. times drawing to a close , maybe she can slow it down. maybe he’ll get mad enough to knock himself out. but she’s never been a patient gal.
cue a sigh : a girl can dream.
❛ give me the damn keys , dickhead ! ❜
