/ ♟ \ — The phrase hit her harder than a fusion cannon shot straight to the spark. As the words continued to play themselves over and over again in her mind, they were accompanied by images of Tailgate and Cliffjumper in their last moments. Like some sort of sick, twisted video that kept playing itself and she couldn’t do anything to stop it. Just like how she couldn’t do anything to stop the deaths of her partners. The two she tried failed to save. Tailgate, bound and hung up like he was nothing but a piece of meat; weaponless, defenceless and utterly helpless. Cliffjumper, plagued by Dark Energon that was stabbed into his lifeless corpse, falling from the top of the mine to his second death.                                                                     ”I tried.” She whimpered to herself. 

Some voice, other than her own, took over her train of thought and began to speak to her. ‘Did you? You could have thrashed, tugged and pulled until you ripped off your own servos to get out of the bounds and free Tailgate. You’re not exactly the best shot, so what would it have mattered if you were missing weapons? You could have fought until your death to save your partner; using your arms, legs, dentae - anything to tear into that retched femme. And we all know you’ve had plenty of chances to scrap her since then but as always, you hesitate. The same goes for when you found out it was Starscream that took the life out of Cliff’s spark, you could have killed him, but you listened to Bumblebee and let him go free. You could have saved him.’                                                          b u t  y o u  d i d n ’ t. 

         “Shut the HELL up!”The mental strain of all of this mental torture began to take its toll on her body and she collapsed to her knees. Her nightmare continuing to play out inside of her damaged mind. ‘And now he’s gone. What about Cliffjumper, hm? You’d think that after Tailgate’s death you would have learned to never leave your partner alone when the ‘Cons are around. But oh no, you just left him to go off and fight on his own. Outnumbered and out gunned. Knowing you’re the cause of two deaths must be a terrible weight on your shoulder pads.’ Slapping her servos over her head, applying pressure in an attempt to stop it, she let out a blood-curdling screamed before completely falling onto her front and laying in the dirt floor. Tailgate’s optics going wide before going black, Cliffjumper’s zombified face as he began his decent to the well of all sparks once again.
