Do you just ever sit in your room with complete sadness because you are no longer the young version you once thought you hated? It is currently 1am and I’m sitting in my downtown apartment, trying to catch up on work that this winter storm took away from me, and I can’t seem to focus due to my childhood memories randomly taking up 90% of my mind right now.

Who would have known that at 27 years old, I would be crying to myself over a simple memory that at the time meant absolutely nothing. I would do anything to go back to 9-year-old me, sitting on the kitchen floor for 10min, trying to decide which bowl would be the right size to bake a boxed cake.

I wish time would just slow down. I wish I could tell my younger self to appreciate all the little things. I wish I could tell my younger self not to try and grow up so fast.
