Did you know?
You cannot be clinically diagnosed with Alcoholism while in University.
You must never settle.
You are worth your weight in Gold.
You are worth way more than you know.
Never Settle.
Never Settle.
Never Settle.
Never Settle.
Never Settle
Never Settle.
No one can ever be you
Never settle.
waiting for my banana to speckle, is the greatest exercise for patience *sigh*
in every teen drama show, the congruous notion given is adults are deterrents. in other words grown ups suck.
I would personally like my future husband to have the ability to grow a handsome beard. However this would be wishful thinking, so i can settle for a nice stubble....ehhh no beard....excuse while i go pray that God grants him the power to grow and epic beard.
Let God
Your heart is broken. Whether it be caused by, a spouse that has wronged you, a significant other, or a love that was never returned. It hurts. The deeper the emotional connection, the more it hurts.
It hurts more than any physical pain you’ve felt before, because you believe what you’ve lost is never coming back. The saying goes ‘time heals all wounds’ but time doesn’t help you forget the memories, time doesn’t help you forget the rush of excitement you felt when the first “I Love You’ s were exchanged. It doesn’t help you forget the fights, the hugs, and the heartbreak. Time doesn’t heal all wounds, because time doesn’t help you forget the memories, and that is were the emotions lie.
You’ve tried and tried and you can’t seem to get out of the deep dark hole you have found yourself in. It's sad really, once your life was filled with light, and now you can't seem to reach it. You find yourself, talking to anyone who will listen and every time the pain you thought you’d gotten over returns even stronger than the last time. You can’t seem to get out of that hole. You lay awake at night tossing and turning, your head aching from the tears that you can’t stop. You wish you could cry yourself to sleep, but you can't, you can’t turn off your brain and fall into the mindless abyss. It’s torture. You just can’t let go. You look everywhere for help but you can’t find anything that takes away the pain permanently, the sleeping aids only work until you wake up, the alcohol only works until you sober up and the thumping headache from the drinking only reminds you of what you’ve lost. The therapist wants you to face the pain you’ve already been facing, but you just can’t seem to get over. You can’t let go. You find yourself teetering between life and the quiet fall to death.
Stop, because all this time, there has been a voice screaming at you, that you have dulled to a whisper. Listen to it.
“Come unto me, ye who are weary and overburdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
Let Go, Let God.
I will never leave you, or forsake you. (Hebrew 13:5)
Let Go, Let God.
I will heal your broken heart, and bind up your wounds. (Psalms 147:3)
Let Go, Let God.
Casting all your care upon Me; for I care for you. (1 Peter 5:2)
Let Go, Let God.
Your flesh and your heart fail: but I AM the strength of your heart, and your portion for ever. (Psalm 73:26)
Let Go, Let God.
Trust in the Me, your Lord and God with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Me, and I shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5,6)
Let Go, Let God.
Wait on Me, your Lord, your God: be of good courage, and I will strengthen your heart. (Psalm 27:14)
Let Go, Let God.
Let Go, Let God.
Let Go, Let God.
There is beauty in letting it go, and giving it all to God, and that is everlasting peace and assurance of true bliss.
Let Him, into your heart, for only He can take the pain away. Let Him fill your heart with His light, His love and experience true joy unbound.
You have been hurt, God is the healer.
You have been broken, God is the mender.
Your heart has been pierced, God can make it whole.
You can’t seem to trust anyone anymore, trust in God.
Let go, Let God.
Whoever wins this election, I pray that God be glorified overall.
Truth.
Church Problems
We have more Pastors choosing to preach only about a cookie cutter version of the love of the Lord, and choosing to ignore mentioning His fearsome and awesome wrath.
We have more Pastors concerned with increasing their attendance count through any means, bringing and serving wolves instead of the Lords' flock.
We have more Pastors neglecting to preach about the Holiness of our Lord, and preaching the prosperity gospel. (Newsflash: We weren’t called to drive Lamborghinis, wear Prada, and receive “checks in the mail” for doing absolutely nothing.)
We have more Pastors interested in becoming a mega church than a real kingdom minded church.
We have more Pastors making people believe that all they need to do is recite a sinners prayer and they are going to Heaven.
We have more Pastors, living their lives as though they were never saved.
We have more Pastors preaching judgmental hypocritical hate, and not preaching the true un-boundless love of God.
We have more Pastors interested in making the Bible look cool and politically correct, than read true. (Another newsflash: The Bible is the truth, and the truth is never politically correct)
We have more People believing that all they need to do is recite the sinners’ prayer and that they are truly Christian.
We have more People becoming pastors for a perceived monetary and influential incentive.
We have more People relying on their Pastors for their spiritual wellbeing, as though they were still suckling children.
We have People treating Pastors as though they were gods.
We have more People not filled with the Holy virtue of Christ, and to stand up and take charge of their faith.
And the saddest thing is: We have more and more of us Christians who are complacent in our faith, and too blinded in our own pursuit of materialistic possessions, that we believe is the only thing that can bring us joy, to realize all this is going on.
A Prayer of thanks for the Brothers and Sisters who do not fall into this category.

My Professor has gone 6 weeks thinking i was a grad student. Bless her soul. Made my day. Yay!!
Vanity Upon Vanity All is Vanity
Eccl. 1:2
I was doing my usual Facebook creeping, I do this once every two weeks - tell me you don’t do this as well -_-, as I was ending my session, being satisfied with the people I surround myself with were going on about their lives in a positive way. I noted a post, it was on one of those fashionable kids pages, of a kid not over 6, with the quote “I want my kid to dress like this, so swag!” I paused on this picture. One of the reasons being, because I have a problem with the word swag, I think of it, as I think of most the recently churned out colloquialisms of my generation, the yolo-ing, swig-swag-ing, and all other abbreviations that promote self-gratification and instant satisfaction, to be blunt, idiotic. But I digress. This picture which I am choosing not to show, showed of a very young girl, about six years of age, with a short green dress (meaning I could see her knees and her thighs), golden necklaces and bangles/bracelets, fashion flats and to top it off, a poppy green eye shadow, thick eyeliner and red lipstick. She was turned to the camera, with her rear end postured outward, and her face contorted in the aptly titled duck face pose.
Now many people would think "oh she is so adorable, so cute, blah blah", yeah okay I’m not devoid of emotion, she was an adorable child. But here is the problem I was seeing as well. I was seeing a child, of a young and impressionable age, being inculcated into the world of materialism. A world where, what you look like defines you, not what you have inside. I am seeing a child, who is being taught that vanity is the way to go. I am not seeing a girl brought up in the standard of how a lady ought to dress -modestly. I am not seeing a child being bought up in the way of the Lord. This angered me, its isn’t enough that we have already soiled our minds with things of the material world, buying into the latest brain-washing inducing fads, the newest occult-praising brands, listening to new mind numbing music, colouring our faces to the point that no one knows whether you're a doll, or a over done corpse. Now, we result to moving our vain obsessions of materialism and the pursuit of becoming aesthetically pleasing to man, onto a younger generation, we are destroying the minds of young children, God’s own.
I sat back on my chair, livid, the only thought that came to my mind was “She’s just a child.” The sad thing is, many Christians won’t see the impact of what I am saying. They will simply see what everyone else in the world is seeing, they'll ooh and ahh and wish that upon their own child. I don’t want the offspring the Lord will bless me with, to be brought up with the standards set by the world, I will not impose on them the notion of being pleasing to the eyes, ears, heart, even the nose of man. No, however I will teach them, that who they need to please is God. Not me, Not their earthly father, not their friends or any other person, but God. Not only will I teach them such, but as a good mother, and a child of God, I will lead by example. And to those Christians, especially those my age who find nothing wrong with such images, have you seen your worldly mates who tote the word “swag” and "yolo" nowadays?
I pray for the fire of revival to burn in our hearts, in the hearts of the sinner, the saved and the so-called “saints” alike.
Rethink.
