Connor competed in singles for a long time but didn't have much success, his brother took the top spots while Connor struggled to find his feet

One day his father suggests he switch to pair skating, and seeing no other options, Connor decides to go for it

At first he tries skating with his partner Chloe, but they constantly fail to work together, the elements don't come off, and small conflicts start to emerge

During this time, Kara ends up splitting with her partner Ralph (sorry Ralph, I adore you but it has to be this way); their story is a huge scandal, revealing terrible incidents of bullying towards Williams by her partner and the indifference of her coach

Kara transfers to coach Hank Anderson

Events unfold such that Kara and Connor decide to try partnering up

Their story continues as they start making strides towards success, learning to trust and understand one another, and finding themselves
