What is an adoptable?

An adopt is a pre-designed character that I create, and you can buy to be able be able to use and claim as your own character. You can use it for pretty much whatever you want, as long as you follow the rules below!

Once you buy the adopts, they’re yours. You’re welcome to redesign, alter, give away and/or trade as you see fit. The only thing I ask that you don’t do is reselling for a higher price (same or below is fine).

You’re welcome to use them for any setting that you please! Headworlds, writing, video games, go nuts. Credit would be appreciated for the original design, though, if asked!

The placeholder names, personality, and info are just that- placeholders! You can name them whatever you want, give them any pronouns, personality, lore, whatever!

Purchasing them on ko-fi will allow you to download a full size, unwatermarked transparent image of the adopt along with full rights to the design.

If you need me to put one on hold, message me here and I can hold them for up to a week.

DESIGN ALTERATIONS Want something tweaked but don't want to do it yourself? I'm happy to tweak it! + $10 for small edits (Simple jewelry or clothes, small color tweaks like eye color, simple pattern additions or tweaks, etc. + $20 for large edits (Overhauling the entire palette, large or complex outfits, adding extra features like limbs or horns, or anything that requires changing the linework extensively.) + $35-50 for a reference sheet. I'll lay out the existing work, as well as add some more drawings of various noteworthy features (IE, closeup of eyes, tongue color, pawpads, wings, tattoos, etc), a palette, and potentially a turnaround if requested. Price varies depending on what you would like details on your sheet.

It doesn’t have to be anything fancy and I’m not going to judge you by how ‘good’ your work is- again, it’s only judged by passion for the character. If I can tell you genuinely enjoyed it and had fun and will love the character you get (instead of having them simply sit on a dusty shelf or resold, etc), you get the discount!

BONUS LORE If you wanna shell out an extra $5, I can help come up with something much more fleshed out as far as lore/backstory goes! Names, backstory, personality, all the bells and whistles. I can also work with you to fit it into any preexisting lore or characters you might want them to be worked with! Once again, you’re welcome to change any of this- but I’ll work with ya on it to make sure it’s something you like!

TRADES I’m a bit iffy on art trades or character trades, but I’m not going to say they’re out of the question. You’re welcome to ask, but be aware that there's a high probability of me saying no.

MEMORY LEAK.

“We’re going to be going to Gardenview now, Brightney,” Delilah said. “But that’s all the way in California. We’re a state away from that. It’s going to be a long drive, okay?” Brightney nodded her head, noting that her eyes only reached the deck in front of her. She couldn’t see out the window without pushing herself up with her palms and craning her neck, but the view from the windshield didn’t get as good a view. Still, she watched everything with fascination, observing the rock formations and mountains passing with reverence. Delilah would sometimes tell her to duck, and while Brightney wasn’t sure why, she would bow her head down anyway.

From chapter one of Ode to Aphrodite, a fic that had some of my favorite scenes and characterization so far not just in Brightney-centered fics, but DW fics altogether.
