            It wasn’t some girl though he wasn’t about to tell GINA that — it was embarrassing enough that she’d figure it out before she got home and he hadn’t been able to replace it. Plus it wasn’t like he’d taken everything ( just everything that hadn’t been opened yet ). So he just waited by the door-frame to the bathroom. Leaning agaisnt it lightly, watching his sister as she tried to get herself looking presentable. When she sits down on the counter next to him he lets out a small laugh, rolling his eyes a bit at her question. “ Yeah I meant to do that anyway, just — you got home faster than I thought. ” he started, a small shrug leaving him before he adjusted himself a bit on the wall — “ You wouldn’t know her anyway. It’s not like it matters. She’ll be bored with me soon anyway, real question is why’re you so so stressed ‘bout it. It’s not like you wear make up daily or anything. ”

      she’ll roll her eyes at murphy, something she had done many times over the years now. gina couldn’t quite remember what it was like to be an only child if she was honest. since the age of fourteen, she had had a younger and much more annoying brother to attend to and keep safe. at first, gina hated the idea, giving john the cold shoulder before eventually growing attached to him and loving him just like he were her actual brother - as if he had been there all the time, “ doesn’t matter if i don’t know her. i still call dibs on making sure she’s good enough for my baby brother. “ she grins, smooshing his cheeks lightly before looking into the mirror, “ you have no idea how expensive make-up is, do you? i spent half my pay check on this ----- “ she’ll avoid mentioning bellamy, she doesn’t need to give john new material to annoy her with, “ and i have ----- plans tonight. i thought i’d at least put in some effort. “

      it’s been too long since she’s seen another person, felt their hand upon her skin or their voice. she hadn’t always been alone, she’d been with others and how she had managed to get split up from the one person who she wouldn’t let out of her sights she didn’t know ( ---- that’s stupid, of course she knew how it happened ).

     gina martin would do anything for bellamy blake, to see him genuinely smile - something he hadn’t done in a long time. she’d been with him since the beginning, since this whole shit storm had happened. she remembers him telling her his plan to travel across the country to get to octavia, to get her back and safe to him and how he was going to do it alone. her laugh had been bitter, stupidly high pitched and genuine ( the look on his face had been priceless ). and ever since, she had stuck with him, watched his back, acquired new people on the way. her trusting nature sometimes got the better of them, and bellamy’s tough guy act was easy for her to break after a while. but now? she just wanted him to shout at her, tell her that trusting people would get them nowhere because it was true.

     she’d run towards the hoard, slipped away when the group wasn’t looking and acted as a distraction. she needed them to be safe ------ HIM to be safe. she’d hidden out under a dumpster for several days before the hoard had passed and now she had no clue as to where they had gone.

    baseball bat swings by her side as tired eyes follow the trees in front of her. her feet ache from walking non-stop and her stomach rumbled from lack of food. she had a large and rather nasty cut upon her forehead from a run in with some bandits ( which she had managed to kill before anything bad could happen ), but she was losing blood and blood was important for the human body.

     she was sure it was the heat, or maybe the fact half her blood was splattered upon her face, but she could make out some figures just meters in front of her. she raises her weapon, blood strained and covered in bits of rotting flesh. her body was so tired, her hand shook from the mere weight of the bat within her grasp. they were huddled around a fire, tents littering the ground.

          she edges closer, readying to attack for food. however, a familiar voice catches her attention. she catches the dark hair before the moon reflected off familiar skin and freckles. blinking away exhaustion, she had to make sure she wasn’t seeing things. bat falls to the ground, impact cushioned by leaves before she’s breaking out into a sprint. she’s sure he doesn’t see her, but she doesn’t care as her body collides with his so hard they topple over onto the muddy grounder, arms wrap around him tightly and she never wants to let go of him again.

      she been awake for far too long, sleep was something that didn’t come easily to her now. she was usually plagued with nightmares of her first kill and everything that had happened after that. sometimes, she’d drift to sleep only to wake up in a cold sweat, fear tickling her skin at the thought of something .... SOMEONE coming for her like the mountain men had. she could still feel the cold blade against her skin, still feel the breath leave her every time she thought about it. tonight was one of those nights.

     being in the mountain didn’t exactly help. it was cold, dark and smelled weird. to her, it wasn’t home but home had been compromised ( but then again, her home was where ever bellamy was ). gina martin was too nice to seek out help, sure that everyone would be asleep and she wasn’t prepared to wake anyone up. they needed their sleep and she could suffer silently. however, gina’s confused when her walk is suddenly interrupted by several angry voices ( even if they are hushed in an attempt to stay quiet ). brow knit together as she draws around the corner, bambi brown eyes falling upon a frustrated bellamy, some kid she had never seen before against the wall. swallowing thickly, she knew she should have left them, she should have just pretended not to see whatever was going on but she couldn’t BRING herself to do that.

    instead, the auburn haired girl moves swiftly towards the two males, hand coming up to lower bellamy’s raises fist, yet her eyes were upon the younger male, “ i suggest you think before picking a fight. i mean, if we really wanted to, we could hand your arse to pike. “ her voice is drawn out, obviously too tired to ask questions at this point. she then turns to bellamy, look cold and stern, “ as for you, blake. you should really control your temper. this is a rebellion, and if you can’t deal with one kid, you can’t deal with this. “ her hand drops before she’s walking past the pair, leaving them to fight if they wishes.

    she can’t help but let her lip curl up softly as she hears the familiar patter of feet behind her, “ ------ don’t even THINK about starting shit with me, bellamy. i’m not in the mood and i’m so tired i will not hesitate to shut you up with my fist. “ she tells him, eyes not moving from the floor, feet not coming to a halt.

     “ i forgave you when you were ten but c’mon, john. you’re eighteen now. stop stealing my make-up to impress some girl. “ gina begins, letting out an exhausted sigh. she’s only been in from work for fifteen minutes, her name tag loosely hanging from her shirt, her hair up in a bun. however, bellamy was going to be round any minute now and gina needed to make herself presentable. shaking her head, she bites down upon her lesser lip, “ ------ i’ll forgive you for now but tomorrow you’re marching down to the store and buying me whatever you took. “ sure, he wasn’t her biological brother but he might as well be by the amount of times he annoyed her. but gina couldn’t deny the overwhelming amount of love and adoration for john - she’d protect him from anything and everything. she perches beside him, hands on her knees lightly, “ so ------ who is she? “

     she’s sounded by books, all of them opened at random pages upon the floor ( which is also littered with pieces of paper ) when there’s a knock at her door. the red head glances towards her slumbering boyfriend who doesn’t twitch one bit before moving from her spot upon the floor. her leg begins to tingle as feeling comes back to it and a single hand drags down her tired features as she opens the door.

    brows knit together at the sight of the dark haired girl. she recognized her - she lived just down the hall from her and honestly? gina was confused as to why she had chosen to come round at such a late time, “ uhhh ---- hey. can i help you or something? “ she’ll look over her shoulder at the slightly stirring bellamy before back at the girl, “ emori, right? “

     anyone with two eyes and a brain could tell they were made for each other - could tell that bellamy blake and gina martin were SOUL MATES. he was everything she knew back to front, inside out. she knew where his scars were and how he got them, how he disliked his freckles ( but god how she loved them ). they’d always been connected, ever since they were children and he had made himself known within her life. she’d grown attached and not in the cheesy clingy way but a chemical way which you just couldn’t deny that you were meant for someone. and gina was MEANT for bellamy. she knew it, he knew it ------ the whole dang world knew it.

     however, after the government filed for them to take the test everything .... changed. the redhead sits on the sofa, awaiting bellamy’s return from work, piece of paper in her hand. it was cold upon her fingers, like a dead weight she wanted to shift but didn’t know how. there was a tightening in her chest every time she tried to breath and as she heard the front door shut, she shot to her feet.

      for a moment, she ignored the words upon the paper, just glad that he was home ( she always missed him when he was gone ). the auburn haired girl with bambi eyes, wrapped her arms around bellamy’s muscular figure, breathing in his musk as if it were the last time she would do it before drawing back, a sad smile upon her lips ( but a smile none the less ). thumb grazes his cheek lightly before pulling him closer to press a soft kiss upon his cheek.

            “ we need to talk. “ she begins, taking a step back and pulling the now crumpled piece of paper from her back pocket, “ it’s the results ------- “ sigh, “ bell. we ------ you’re soulmate is someone called emori de adzone ---- whoever she is. “

he listened, nodding, not believing a word she was saying. Gina, thought she had gotten good at lying but Marcus was still her father and had still been with her since she was born. However, he decided to let it go when she started talking about sex talk with his fiancé. He wasn’t under any impression that his kids weren’t having sex but he didn’t want to discuss and nor did he want to discuss his sex life with them. He cleared his throat when he noticed the guards jacket she had on. “Where’d you get that? Looks to big to be Bell’s.”

    she was thankful when he moved on and didn’t ask her anymore about abby. gina knew exactly what was up with the female but it wasn’t her place to tell marcus - abby would do that once she was ready. glancing down at the jacket, gina shrugged softly, “i found it next to my cot in medical. i’m not sure who’s it is.” she admitted biting down on her lip, the mention of bellamy causing an uneasy feeling in her stomach, “it’s not bellamy’s. it doesn’t have his scent ....” she muttered before she could stop herself.

Bellamy smiled and nodded, agreeing with the girl as she told him the stories sounded interesting. “They were indeed. O appreciated the change and I liked learning new stories”. Bellamy felt his stomach tighten a little as Ginas eyes dropped to the floor. He nodded slowly “Ok… Whatever you want” He said, his voice barely a whisper. “I’ll pick you up, we can eat on my room if you want, less crowded”

     she couldn’t quite remember what she was meant to be doing in those hours where bellamy was at work. the bar was empty, dead really which had left fox and her in an awkward silence, book in gina’s hand as she supervised the younger girl. after a while she had began to babble about something that gina quite frankly, couldn’t keep up with. she nodded once or twice to show that she really was trying to pay attention but the silence of the bar caused her to replay what had happened. to feel the blood on her skin again. the look in the grounders eye as she took his life. she shuddered, eyes closed as she tried to push the thoughts away. unintentionally, she slammed the book down upon the bar, just to make some noise so it would go away. her moss eyes lift when she sees a figure walk in, eyes dancing around his features before getting off of the stool she was sat upon, “can you tend the bar, fox? it shouldn’t get that busy and i’ll be back before you know it.” she offered the girl a fake grin, one she’d managed to perfect before making her way over to bellamy, “your room better not stink of boys and my dad said i have to be home by nine.” she teases, grabbing his hand in her soft grasp, “soooo ---- what’s on the menu?”

Bellamy smirked as he imagined Reyes snapping through Finns once luxurious locks, ending on the awkward and uneven cut he sported quickly after her landing. He messed around with his hair one more time before biting his lips and shrugging “Maybe a few weeks ahead from now, when you’re fully recovered and I can’t really see anything in front of me anymore I’ll let you get near my head with a pair of scissors” he said, light hearted tone. They were trying, clearly. Trying to make it lighter, trying to act like their last interaction hadn’t been the exact opposite of it. Like they hadn’t said and heard things they regretted. He tensed up as he winced in pain and raised a little from his seat, his hands already ahead of him, ready to support and hold her if she needed. But the girl went back to her place without anymore signs of pain. She could be hiding tho, always did when it came to Bellamy. He nodded along as she listed her activities. “Writing about what?” He asked before coughing and quickly correcting himself “You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to, obviously. You can tell me, uh, which books have you been reading?” The guard questioned, trying to erase the personal words he had just said, not wanting her to put her walls up again, even higher. Bellamy was nervously licking his lips when she let it out. Missing him. He stopped in the middle of the action and looked up, his eyes meeting hers. “You missed me?” He asked, a small smile forming on his face.

    as he hovered from his seat again, hands in front of him as if she were about to fall, gina couldn’t help but smile softly. he still cared --- or was it an act? she decided not to dwell on it too long, knowing it’d only bring her down if she did, “unlike raven, i actually know what i’m doing.” gina pointed out. she’d given her dad haircuts on the ark, as well as some of the children. she shrugs softly though, “or maybe we should leave it. it curls more when it’s long and it’s ... nice.” she complimented. they were both trying, but even gina could feel the slight awkwardness between them, as if the argument was still fresh in their minds and she was sure it was. she knew she hadn’t forgotten about it, knew that she regretted it every day since. she’d kept tabs on bellamy, subtly asking marcus how he was, or jasper. even raven and scarlette at times too, “y’know just thoughts. stories. poetry” she confessed, small blush upon her cheeks. it wasn’t anything bad, but the idea of her writing stories of her own because she missed bellamy’s made her feel quite the idiot, “books? well, i finished the iliad. y’know, the one i got you. i stole it months ago and i forgot to give it back. i reread the great gatsby - you know that’s my favorite. i’m reading pride and prejudice now.” she told him, smile etched upon her face. her blush intensified at his question, eyes dropping to her lap as she bit down upon her lesser lip, “’course i missed you, bell.” she sighed, looking back up at him, gaze rather sad now, “i was angry at you. upset but i never stopped loving you.”

Marcus bumped her shoulder gently and smirked, “I’m glad you’ve actually been discharged rather than just sneaking out. You’ve gotta stop being stubborn like your old man.” He looked at her, gaze gentle, “nothing much. Everyone is just settling back in and healing. “Can I ask you something? you’ve been talking to Abby a lot. Has she said anything about something being wrong with her? I’ve just noticed that she doesn’t seem to be feeling well and her back has really been bothering her?”

     the question almost caught her off guard, causing her to pause, lip pursing as she does so. her eyes tore away from him, looking into the darkness. she could see the utline of trees in the distance, a pang in her chest - she’d once followed bellamy into those woods. she had killed in those woods. shaking her head, gina’s brow knitted, “we’ve been talking, yes. but she hasn’t ----- mentioned anything about being sick. she looks fine to me.” she shrugs. gina had become quite the liar since coming to the ground and she was sure only bellamy could see through them these days, “we’ve just been talking about boys ------ sex.” oh god she was hoping she was making him uncomfortable, so he would change the subject, “y’know, my very active sex life.” another lie and another attempt at him to move on.

   apparently gina felt the need to swing by mecha station. walking wasn’t as difficult now and the pain was mostly numb from the pain killers she had been told to take if it got too much in her hand was a brown paper bag and without a word, she dumped it upon wick’s table, “hey you.” she grins her bright gina grin. they hadn’t seen each other properly since the kidnapping and something in her wanted to spend some time with him - to .... catch up, “how’re things? how’s the electric?”
