Knowing that her girlfriend was going to be there any second, Hadley scrambled to get herself ready. It amazed her how she still experienced the most intense feelings every time she would even think about Maya, which happened to be all the time. She really wasn’t the type to become excessively captivated by anyone, until she started completely falling for her. The girl was basically her main source of happiness, and Hadley wasn’t even the slightest bit ashamed to admit it. All she wanted was to be with Maya always, and she was always so eager to spend more time with her. In the middle of trying to find socks for herself, Hadley felt her phone vibrate in her back pocket and smiled to herself at the texts.

Hadley: make me ;)

Hadley: jk im comin calm down bossy

She set her phone down on her dresser and made her way downstairs faster than she normally would’ve. Opening the door, Hadley’s face lit up as she was met with Maya on the other side. “Hi, favorite person,” she greeted nonchalantly. Not wasting a second, she brought both her hands to the sides of her girlfriend’s face and connected their lips together, making it obvious just how much she missed her. Reluctantly pulling away after a few seconds, Hadley laughed, “Okay now you can come in and we could continue.”

Maya laughed bashfully at her girlfriend's greeting, her lips stretching into a wide smile as their lips connected. Slightly breathless and feeling extremely elated, Maya nodded and stepped inside, angling her foot to close it behind her carefully without exposing what she had concealed behind her back. She tugged gently on Hadley's hand, turning the girl around to face her before bringing the bouquet of flowers into view. "I got these for you on my way over. They looked really nice and I thought you'd like them." Maya explained, smiling warmly before placing a tender kiss on Hadley's forehead. "Now, to get to the real reason for me being here...the food." Maya joked, strolling into the kitchen and hoisting herself up to sit on one of the counters. She picked up a spoon and jokingly waved it expectantly into the air, shooting her girlfriend a coquettish wink. "So, what have you been doing all day? Anything peculiar happen with you?" Maya asked with genuine interest, eyeing her girlfriend endearingly from her vantage point.

The subtle aroma of flowers filled Maya's car, adding to her exceptionally good mood as she drove to her girlfriend's house with a bouquet of flowers sitting in the passenger seat. She had seen them on display on her drive over and the vibrant colors of the beautiful assortment of flowers instantly caught her eye. In retrospect, Maya would've never labeled herself as a romantic but things with Hadley were different. The strength of her feelings astonished her to no end sometimes and it all still felt extremely foreign. She found herself going out of her way to go above and beyond just to make the girl happy and she was more than content to do so, too. Maya was better with her than with anyone else and when they were apart, she longed helplessly for her presence. To put it simply, she adored the girl to no end and she didn't think there was ever going to be a day where she wouldn't feel ecstatic just to see her. Maya parked her car with the flowers cradled in her arm as she pulled out her phone to send a string of text messages to her girlfriend.

Maya: come outside!!!! Maya: ur favorite person is here Maya: aka me and not the pizza guy in case u were confused

Slipping her phone back into her pocket, Maya quickly concealed the bouquet of flowers behind her back, making sure they would be completely obscured by her body once the girl opened the door.
