This has to be one of the most difficult prompts to try and not expound too much upon; however, if I were to select the single moment when I realized Square Enix had become a major part of my life, I would have to choose attending the N.A. Anniversary Event in Seattle during PAX 12. It was incredible to see the games come to life and it was such a treat to meet other fans. To see the immense power this franchise has on the lives of others, especially one you hold so dear to yourself. When I watched Wakka playing FFX, I was 12 years old again-- clenching the controller and fighting Seymour with my mom by my side. I played through Hanging Edge in FFXIII and felt connected to Lebreau in a real time setting. My sweetheart and I played through each game together, living out our memories time and time again. It's the kind of feeling that comes once in a lifetime and I think that... for me, that event revealed to me just how much the series means to not just me or my friends, or the wonderful people I've met through FFU, but that the games themselves are an indelible part of many lives.

The one thing that Final Fantasy did to introduce me most -

"Oh boy, I have to admit- this is probably the hardest question I've had to face all year! Which Final Fantasy has influenced me the most- and how?

I have to say- the most influential for me is without a doubt Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. Because of that prelude, I discovered the franchise that would influence a huge percentage of my life. 

I've made friends, because of my interest in Final Fantasy, both in the realm of RP, and irl at school and around the neighborhood. Not only that- but because of Final Fantasy XIII and RP, and thus by extension, Final Fantasy VII? I met the love of my life, my girlfriend of going on 7 months. ;u; 

I know this is poorly written, but in all honesty, I could write a 5 page essay on the ways that Final Fantasy has influenced me personally, even in my morals and in how I strive to be a better person- to go out of my way to help people and be kind, and it has even influenced my future and interest in game design.

I guess I'm just trying to say- Final Fantasy? It's a huge part of my life, my past, and my future, and I am forever in debt to Square Enix and the wonderful rpers I'm blessed to be around. <3

"One of my favorite memories was watching Advent Children / Advent Children Complete for the first time. I've played bits of FF7 before (shifty console) and know enough background of the game to understand the movie, but, I thought that the movie was what encouraged me to start roleplaying, especially scenes such as when Tifa was fighting Loz in the church, and when she and AVALANCHE provided help for Cloud when he was flying :D

"I was eleven when I had my first experience with a Square Enix game. I'd just changed schools, and being the shy little person I was, I only really made one friend (but she is a good friend to this day, nine years later). The first time I went over to her house, she showed me Kingdom Hearts. I didn't even have a PS2 at the time, so when she showed me the opening, it was a little mind blowing, and then she handed me the controller, and despite it being the first game of it's nature that I ever really played, I picked it up so easily, and I ended up having to beat Riku in Hollow Bastion on her save file, because she couldn't do it. After that, Kingdom Hearts consumed just about every aspect of our lives; we'd pretend to be Kingdom Hearts characters on the playground, at birthday parties, all kinds of places, and when our fifth grade choir did a Disney show, we went home with the book of songs and changed all the lyrics to fit the game. We were such crazy little children. Not that that has changed much."

25 Years of Final Fantasy: a digital fan magazine

Final Fantasy - 25th Anniversary Ultimate Box

The box includes the PlayStation disc versions of all the numeric Final Fantasy games from FFI to FFXIII. It also comes with a Crystal ArtWorks art book, special music CDs, a movie showing 25 years of FF, among other goodies like a Moogle in-game earring for FFXIV.

The “Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Ultimate Box” box will be out on December 18 and is priced at ¥35,000 ($445). Pre-orders end on September 30.

Fall into The Void
