Both Shauna and Jeff committed the same wrongdoing, but Shauna was the only one punished for it, and the only one who was called out about being a two faced liar and the one who had to bury their child in the snow by herself, while Jeff was rewarded with a wife, a kid and the furniture store from the family of the girl he cheated on.

And the moment he hits a snag, he robs her only friends and retraumatizes her with no remorse, and then whines to his teenage daughter like a child about how lonely and sad he is.

And the worst part is that now that his wife is going off the rails, he gets to look like the “good parent” and abandon her after talking shit about her to random strangers (funny how he grovels and kisses the asses of men like Kevyn or the furniture guys but can’t give his wife a genuine apology 🤔)

He just doesn’t care, and that’s the worst part. Shauna’s misery doesn’t bother him until it’s inconvenient to him. She can be miserable and depressed all she wants, as long as she’s washing his underwear and cooking him meals. But the moment he realizes that she’s going off the deep end, it’s too much for him to handle.

He reminds me of Bear from obsession in that way. You can claim to love someone all you want but if their misery doesn’t bother you until it affects your life than you don’t really love that person.

Sammy and Lottie parallels wait I swear I’m onto something

Both of the scenes happen nearly avoiding a car accident

“I’m taking him/ her to a psychologist” - their parent

(While the other parent , Tai & Lotties mother, deny that there’s something wrong with them, Lotties mom saying she’s “gifted”, and some of the things Sammy reacts to I think are things that Taissa carried down with her, we know her experience with her mental health (aka other Tai and the hallucinations) (this might be a reach but I think Lotties mother’s reaction being more positive could indicate she knows something of it, also we know significantly less about Lotties mom than her dad)

( I’m pretty sure this was in the same episode but I have to rewatch it )

- some other similarities that might be irrelevant , they both come from the richest families (Tai having the most money out of the adults and Lottie’s family having the most money) , and both their parents are divorced/ separated

I do think those two car shots being near each other in the show and their parents reactions was on purpose ( the rest is just speculation ) but I don’t know what they could be indicating with it, I think the Lotties obsession with the Wilderness baby and having one of their children (probably ?? not biological but still) have parallel to her is interesting, I hope they bring Sammy back in S4 especially after putting more focus on Callie, I think it would be really cool to have Callie as Shauna’s parallel and Sammy as Tai’s or something ?? and I also think there’s similarities with Callie and Sammy, their mommy issues obviously and other stuff, maybe they could use Sammy to show what Callie COULD have been if Jeff had got her away from Shauna earlier, (since Sammy is still younger and Simone is a much better mother than Taissa,)

But idk I could be looking into it too much?

I made a Vercury (Venus x Mercury Solarballs) x Mistynat (Misty x Natalie Yellowjackets) random ass drawing and half baked character comparison, now I have no idea if there’s another soul on this planet who’s a fan of these two shows but I hope there is 💔💔 I’ve also been thinking of what other characters would match up I’d say Lottie as Earth I could probably go off about that for a while but

Anyway this is kinda (really) as stretch because one of these shows is talking planets who do silly things and mainly aimed at kids (okay this is an oversimplification of Solarballs I’ve been fixated on it for years and it’s probably my longest lasting interest/ fixation and I could write pages and pages about the story and characters and everything but) and the other is a show about survival, cults, and cannibalism mainly aimed at adults/ teens 💔💔💔 BUT SHUSH I HAD A VISION OKAY
