Ok but the Antler Queen was never one person. Shauna may have been the final Antler Queen, but she was not the true Antler Queen. Lottie, Natalie, and Shauna were all Queens. The Antler Queen is a concept. When Lottie saw and spoke to Her in the tunnels, it wasn’t Shauna or Nat or even herself she was communicating with. The Antler Queen represents what the wilderness has made each of them. She is everything they were and will become.

Apparently people think Lottie is sad/melancholic in the last episodes of s3 - I really disagree with this, I think there's every indication that she has undergone some kind of spiritual awakening/enlightenment.

We don't know if Lottie heard Shauna say, "You shouldn't be afraid of the dark parts of yourself either" but even if she didn't hear it - I think that's what she was learning from Shauna, and it's what reconnected her to It - culminating in her murdering the outsider, which she viewed as a tribute to it.

When Lottie does this it's almost as if she goes into a trance, and reaches some kind of grand understanding that she had been struggling with before.

We see her echo this sentiment later in the cave.

The loss of her fear is important, because it is what blocked her connection in the first place after she was horrified at what the group did while she was injured.

But now through embracing her dark parts and losing her fear of violence, she is ready to submit to its will again.

Through this, we see Lottie seemingly regain her supernatural abilities.

She walks over the pit trap. They went with a version of this scene that was more subtle, but there was a version where she called Travis pathetic for attempting to kill her. You can still see a flash of annoyance on her face when she hears a branch snap and realizes she is over a trap.

She is able to navigate the cave in darkness, whereas Akilah needs a flashlight to find her (in this specific area there does seem to be a light source overhead, but I think leading up to it is meant to be pitch black).

Her clairvoyance also returns:

She knows that Akilah attempted to trick her into calling for a hunt by poisoning her animals. Knows it was hard for her to do. She calls for the hunt anyways, probably because it's what It wants, and she views it as a proper anointment of Shauna.

A lot of people view Lottie as dressing Shauna up as her god, but I actually disagree with this interpretation. After all, how would Lottie, at the moment this vision occurs, have known that Shauna was going to request Mari's hair and want to be adorned with it?

I believe the ceremony of Shauna being dressed is meant to mirror Nat's coronation - where everyone offers tribute. I don't think the entire outfit was Lottie's idea, but instead a collaborative effort of the team. However even if it was all her design - she would still have had foresight to the fact that Shauna wanted to take Mari's hair as a trophy.

I also disagree with the common interpretation of Lottie's warning to Mari - though it is intentionally dubious. Mari has been there before from falling into the pit before - but I think Lottie was also telling her she had been there before in past lives.

There are inconsistencies with what we saw of pit girl in the pilot and what we got in the s3 finale - and I actually think this is entirely intentional, because what we see in the pilot is a different timeline. We get cuts to it with the odd TV static effect - which is usually how the show edits to imply something supernatural.

When we originally see pit girl's death, we almost sort of see it through the eyes of the wilderness - there are cuts to tree eyes.

When Mari runs off to die, we see Lottie contemplate this.

I believe it's because the Wilderness had already shown her this.

Towards the end Lottie becomes very spacey and in my opinion it's peaceful and meditative - not sad like some people interpret. She has given up attachment and completely submitted to the Wilderness. The Wilderness being like a drug to her makes this a pleasurable experience.

Like sorry but she's a killer now and she's happy about it haha.

I wouldn't have her any other way, personally.<3

When the adult showed up in Lord of the Flies, the prepubescent boys went "holy shit, what are we doing, we're just kids" and became traumatized lost kids once again but when adults showed up in Yellowjackets, the girls came out of their savage state only to quickly slip back down again cuz that's what they were comfortable with. Lottie came into her own in the wilderness by tapping into her primal self and listening to her delusions. She doesn't want to go back to the civilized world of psych meds and rigid control where she's a "nutcase" and not powerful and revered. I think season 4 is going to be a civil war between the ones who want to go back home (Gen, Akilah, Mel, Travis, etc.) and the ones who want to stay cuz the wilderness lets them be themselves. This is how the 12-ish survivors wind up as 7 by the pilot episode. It'll be the ultimate game of survival. Loser gets served on a spit.

season 4 theory: melissa fakes her death by leaving a note and clothes at the same bridge shauna and adam jump off of in season 1. maybe shauna and melissa even have an encounter there where shauna tells melissa to either disappear or she’ll hurt her and push her off that bridge. there would have to be a storm or evidence of her weighing herself down if it’s believable she died that way though.

this would add extra meaning to jackie’s ghost showing up and saying “someone’s going to get hurt”.

i know everyone thinks this line is misty asking if natalie deserves to be leader but given adult misty's devotion to natalie, i don't think teen misty is questioning her rule... i think she's repeating what the other person (who's barely in frame) was saying in more of a "are you seriously saying that?" type of way...

I can't see misty turning on natalie... not with her blatant worship of the other in the adult timeline....

misty also looks somewhat disgusted and taken aback here, not the type of facial expression she would use if she were the one saying that. In my opinion this is the expression of someone who heard something so outrageous (aka that natalie shouldn't rule) that they can't believe it/ are disgusted by the very thought...

also, once again natalie isn't even mentioned here, for all we know they could be talking about shauna and how shes trying to take over...

Okay, hear me out: Shauna isn’t just unhinged, she’s possessive and power-hungry—and the show has made that crystal clear. I think that possessiveness will continue with Melissa, despite their public breakup which was rooted in jealousy over Melissa and Hannah talking. Shauna wants control, especially over the people she’s decided are hers, and when that control appears to be slipping? She spirals.

I can’t shake the feeling that Gen is going to be next on Shauna’s hit list. Melissa’s likely to fall back into her bond with Gen and Shauna is not going to be able to handle it. I can 100% see her watching Melissa and Gen reconnect and then lashing out about it.

Which brings me to pit girl. If it’s not Hannah (which… jury’s still out), I really think it could be Gen—and Shauna’s jealousy over Melissa and Gen might be what sets it in motion. Shauna sees Gen as the reason Melissa doesn’t come back to her and so Shauna singles Gen out, maybe to hurt Melissa even further.

It sucks because I love Genlissa. But let’s be real: Shauna doesn’t want anyone to be happy since she’s incapable of being happy herself.
