Neufdixieme.com : def : partie immergée de l’outdoor. Faces cachées des spots mythiques, acteurs de l’ombre, histoires méconnues du grand public. Des rencontres, des lieux, des émotions qui font le sel de nos histoires mais dont nous ne pouvons bien souvent n’exploiter qu’un dixième. Alors, nous avons décidé de raconter les neuf autres, à notre manière, avec la liberté qui caractérise la pratique de ceux que nous rencontrons en chemin.

C'est en pleine période d'IF3, festival international de freeski se déroulant à Annecy, que je rédige cet article pour vous parler d'un événement totalement différent. Il y a environ deux semaines avait lieu le concert d'ouverture de saison de l'association Retour de scène, sur l'esplanade devant la piscine du Campus. Une soirée s'annonçant des plus festives avec en ouverture la fanfare Danguba et son swing balkan. Art district est venu ensuite mettre le feu sur cette scène de la piscine en nous envoyant un Hip-hop survitaminé aux influences plus variées les unes que les autres avant de laisser la place aux deux Dj's de Tha Trickaz et leurs Electro-Dubstep-Hip-Hop.

On saturday, september 29th, 2012, Although the IF3, international freeski film festival, is happening in Annecy as we speak, I wanted to write an article about a completely different event. About two weeks ago, the season's opening gig of the association "Retour de scène" was taking place on the esplanade in front of the campus' swimming pool. The evening sounded promising and festive and started with the Danguba band and their balkanic swing. Then Art district showed up to set the pool's stage on fire, indulging us with an energetic and powerful Hip-hop whose influences were as wide and varied as could be, before leaving the stage to the two Dj's of Tha Trickaz and their electro-dubsted-hip-hop. Petit retour en image sur ma soirée d’hier avec mon pote Thomas Gachet, qui en plus d’être un excellent rider, est un artiste! Il m’avait demandé de faire un shoot pendant qu’il dessinait certaines toiles pour son exposition chez Addict à Grenoble.
Pour cette série j’ai choisi deux ambiances, et voici la seconde. Voilà sa page de ses créations où vous pouvez trouver les informations relatives à sa prochaine expo. A partir du 25 mai chez Addict : Toma.

La Clusaz Radikal Mountain nous y voilà! Etape 4 étoiles du Freeride World Qualifier où tout skieur voulant sa place au Freeride World Tour doit participer. Je suis arrivé seulement le jour des finales où j'ai rejoint Thibault, ici avec Thibaud Duchosal pour shooter pour son videoblog. Malheureusement Thibaud ne passera pas les qualifications. Laurent Jamet, réalisateur d'Eye of the Storm, était descendu de Paris pour admirer le spectacle et faire un peu d'image. Les photos d'actions étaient impossibles à réaliser à moins d'être dans la face ou dans l'hélico donc je n'ai fait que des photos d'ambiance.

On Sunday, December 15th, 2012, Clusaz Radikal Mountain here we are! 4star-event of the Freeride World Qualifier in which every skier has to take part if he wants his ticket for the Freeride World Tour. I arrived only for the finals where I joined Thibault, here with Thibaud Duchosal to shoot for his videoblog. Unfortunately Thibaud will not cross the qualifications. Laurent Jamet, director of Eye of the Storm, has come down from Paris to admire the show and shoot too. The action pictures were impossible to realize unless being in the face or in the copter thus I made some lifestyle pics.

Après une bonne semaine d'inactivité photographique, me revoilà dans la voiture avec Thomas et Donovan pour monter shooter aux 7 Laux. Les prévisions météo avaient annoncé une belle journée ensoleillée, on se réjouissait d'avance des runs qu'ont allait faire! Mais le ciel s'est dégagé seulement en début d'après-midi.
Voici donc le résumé de notre journée, forêt le matin, falaises l'après-midi.
On Sunday, January 8th, 2012, After a good week of photographic inactivity, here I am again in the car with Thomas and Donovan to go shooting to Les 7 Laux. The meteo forecasts had announced a beautiful sunny day, we were beforehand enjoying the runs we were going to make! But the sun only appear in the afternoon. Here is the summary of our day, forest in the morning, cliffs in the afternoon.

Au vu des chutes de neiges exceptionnelles de ce mois de décembre, mon pote Thomas me propose une journée de shooting freeride à Peisey-Vallandry. J'arrive donc sur les lieux, où je le retrouve avec son frère, Thibault, cadreur à The Brothers Team Production. Forfaits en poche nous voilà partis pour une pure journée dans les forêts du domaine. A la fin de cette journée, j'ai décidé de rester un jour de plus pour pouvoir encore profiter des conditions miraculeuses que Mère Nature nous a offertes et ainsi shooter Thibaud Duchosal sur le domaine des Arcs. Le soleil n'était pas au rendez-vous mais le plaisir était là.

On Wednesday, December 21st, 2011, In view of the exceptional snowfalls of this December, my buddy Thomas proposes me a day of freeride shooting to Peisey-Vallandry. I arrive in the ski resort, where I find him with his brother, Thibault, cameraman for The Brothers Team Production. Ski pass in the pocket we are ready for pure day in the forests of the domain.
At the end of this day, I decided to stay one day more to be still able to take advantage of supernatural conditions that Mother Earth offered to us and so to shoot Thibaud Duchosal on the domain of Les Arcs. The sun wasn't here but fun was. Report in pictures on these two days.
