hey i just saw two of ur posts almost back to back and ur art good as FUCK the designs and colors are magnificent, if u dont mine me asking how do u choose ur colors/color palettes?

hello and thank you so much!

i usually start by choosing a light, saturated color (mostly yellow) and then block in flat colors with a low-opacity brush (around 40–50%). after that i mostly color-pick and adjust while rendering.

i don't separate lights and shadows into many layers, they usually develop naturally during the painting process. i also use tools like gradient maps and selective color in photoshop a lot, they're great shortcuts for exploring palettes :D

i think the most important thing is understanding color theory. those tools can help a lot, but knowing how colors interact, contrast, and affect the mood of an image makes choosing palettes much easier:)

Hi!! Im not sure if you’ve been asked this before but I’m like, super interested in your art process just because the lines and shape language look really nice, so is there any way you’d be willing to show how you structure your sketches/rendering process?

ughhh the process is really messy, usually I'm starting with pallete that has some kind of underpainting (usually yellow, orange, green), black lines are above and then I just render

I think a lot of work is doing brush with low opacity, slowly building layers, I edit the opacity the whole process, it depends how I want the lineart and colors work

I'm sorry if it's confusing I'm preparing better and longer explanation of the process, cuz I'm using lot of adjustments in Photoshop, so stay tuned! :D
