So... Volume 1 showed Pyrrha as being pretty passionate about Faunus rights (almost on the same level as Blake, who is a Faunus herself AND a former member of the White Fang), while Volume 3 revealed that her favorite Fairy Tale is "The Shallow Sea". Fairy Tales of Remnant (the book) would later reveal that Fairy Tale to be a Faunus Creation Myth.

Which like, has me wondering...

Do you think it's possible Pyrrha's dad is a Faunus?

World of Remnant did imply it would be a coinflip on whether the child of a human and a Faunus would end up as one or the other, after all.

Yeah, that could definitely be the case.

In fact, now that I think about it, Pyrrha's dad being a Faunus even plays well into her mythology allusion.

After all, Achilles is actually a demigod via his sea-goddess mother Thetis. So in keeping with the Team JNPR genderbending, it would make total sense for Pyrrha to have a non-human father.

Or maybe there isn't a genderbending and Pyrrha actually has two moms whichjustfurtherprovidesmoresetupforRosebirdParents- okay I'll just stop talking now :D

I just like that Pyrrha is canonically invested in the Faunus culture enough to know a fairy tale that is likely to be an oral tradition until “modern times,” meaning that she had to have some sort of connection to Faunus like a parent or a trainer or just a very good education. Another thing that makes her remarkable.

I didn't catch that in WOR...I was 99% sure the rule of Faunus reproduction is that if 1 parent is a Faunus, the child they have is 100% going to be a Faunus. But I got this l out of a really old interview that I don't even remember 🤣

Does anyone else remember it, or did I 100% make that up?

This is always an opinion I never agreed with.

"Cinder has beef with Ruby, but Ruby doesn't care about her."

But now I think I'm seeing what they're seeing. Ruby is so lazy that she refuses to interact with the plot, meaning she ignores every other player involved in moving the plot along. She only reacts when it affects her eventually.

Cinder has always been an active player in the plot, whether people like her or not, she makes moves to get the story going. So, her "beef" with Ruby is because she's one of many characters who care about getting the plot moving.

So, it's not that Ruby doesn't have beef with Cinder. She just doesn't care because she doesn't care about the story.

But granted, Cinder slowly started to stop caring about Ruby in V5 and onward. The Maidens matter more, and Cinder's real enemy is the next woman who takes the next Maiden powers from her. Not Ruby.
