Layer upon layer of soft buttery pasta with the delicious combination of juicy seasoned tomatoes mixed with ground meat perfectly seasoned with softened onions with just the right amount of cottage cheese 😍. All mixed perfectly together with hot, cheesy mozzarella cheese topped! 😆

Strawberry and Pineapple Smoothies for Breakfast...
I’m struggling with breakfast lately. I just don’t have the appetite for anything properly nutritious first thing in the morning. A cup of coffee and perhaps a few rusks (South Africa’s more delicious answer to biscotti) are about as much as I can stomach. However, I know I need to do better and so I have been trying to build up my repertoire of quick, easy and varied breakfast options. I LOVE eggs for breakfast but I can’t eat them every day. These smoothies are such a great way to get a truck-load of nutrition into your first meal of the day and they are bloody delicious, if I do say so myself. PLUS, you can make these the night before and keep them in the fridge before grabbing and go-ing the next morning. We’re winning all around today. I think the key to making really great smoothies is to try to pack as much into them as you can, nutrition-wise. These contain rolled oats, almonds, chia seeds, pineapple, yoghurt, strawberries and a little maple syrup (the pineapple and strawberries were very tart) but you can totally leave that out to create a no-sugar-added breakfast treat. But let’s talk about what we’re all thinking, how flipping gorgeous are those Ball drinks jars? I mean, come now. I swear, I would make smoothies just so I can use these jars every day. Of course, they add to the grab-and-go appeal of these smoothies but they even elevate en everyday smoothie to new heights. I can’t get enough of them and the kids think it’s VERY cool that they get to drink their smoothies out of them in the morning. What I love so much about these jars is that they also come with an infuser attachment which allows you to infuse your water with fruit and herbs easily, making it so easy to get enough water in.
