Speaking of youths, we hired a part-time babysitter, who is 25, a local musician and witch. Music she has played for Harriet so far: Nirvana (”Negative Creep”), Fireeater, Phoebe Bridgers, Caroline Polachek, other stuff I can’t always hear. All I know is Harriet loves Neneh Cherry and Missy Elliott so far.

Editing Songs

Is so much work especially when your music is increasingly intricate. It is like continuing to find stray strings on a garment, one keeps popping up. It is certainly an act of taming. So much EQing, ugh ugh ugh. Why are some songs way louder than others, how did that even happen? I don’t know if I am ever going to be finished with this album. Seriously though, it will probably be done this spring, but my god.
