What acosf taught me is that I need more of Eris

All the info you need 🧡
Name a more iconic duo then Cassian and the piece of leather he uses to tie up his man bun, I’ll wait
Eris: I live in constant fear that someone will kill my father Beron, who lives in the Autumn Court castle, third floor, second door from the right, can be accessed from the window outside, power tools and ladder kept in the shed.
As someone who’s been through emotional trauma and has used anger as a way of coping. I’ve always felt a strong connection to Nesta in ACOTAR. Now, I’m not justifying that anger (in Nesta or myself), but I understand why it was used.
Similarly, I grew up in an upper-middle class setting and my family lost what wealth they had when I was in elementary school. Like Nesta’s father, my own mother went through a depression/ unable to do anything for a long time. So, in that sense, especially, I very much understand Nesta’s anger towards her father, and her subsequent treatment towards him.
The world has gone to shit, everything has gone to shit, and therefore this feeling of resentment and longing for what once was is in the back of your mind-- especially when you’re going through the shit you’re going through. You feel too much and everything at the same time-- and every time you let yourself hope or think, something goes to shit again.
And then your parent has the opportunity to better themselves, to do something to help you-- you’re just a child, you want your parent to be a parent to you-- but then, once again, they let you down-- and you’re gutted. Absolutely gutted-- although you knew, you knew deep down, that that was likely what was going to happen. Again.
Feyre used her resilience and skill to hunt and provide for her family. Elain used her kindness and gardening to soften the world. And Nesta. Nesta used her anger to harden her heart-- to hide it from being crushed and destroyed. Anger was her power, her weapon, her closest ally.
Was this healthy? No. But it helped her to survive for a time, and sometimes you do what you need to do, in order to survive a trauma. It was through time and the realization of friends/family, that finally allowed Nesta to realize that her anger was not a coping technique that would be her salvation.
So I graduated -virtually- today with my BA in History. Had to use a quote from my favorite author. @sjmaas
Most of our friends and family know that my mom got covid back in April and spent months and months in the hospital. But the thing that most people don't realize about covid, is the long lasting effects that can linger for a long time after.
It's not just the problems with breathing or the upper respiratory system, but it's the weak limbs-- the feeling that there is a weight constantly pushing against your body. Who would have thought that reaching for a drink would be so difficult? There's also the brain fog, and the constant forgetting one's own thoughts. Then there's the cough that just wont go away, no matter how long its been. And the fatigue and the feeling that you've just ran a marathon after walking halfway across the room.
And the cost of recovering is so expensive and frightening, and you worry that you won't be able to pay your hospital bills on top of your regular bills. Sure you may have just been making it by, pre-covid, but now? Now, you can't work and you can't pay the extra bills that are piling up from your five month hospital stay. $850 for your ambulance 'uber' alone, could have paid for your house bill. But the extra bills don't just stop there-- no. No, now there's all the extra doctor's visits every week, and the cost of more and more exams and bloodwork, and medicine that you HAVE TO HAVE in order to survive.
Psychologically? You worry every single day. What if I catch it again? What if covid does actually kill me this time? And then the PTSD and constant anxiety and panic attacks. You wake up in a cold sweat and you have to remind yourself that you are not there-- you are not in that hospital, you do not have covid anymore. YOU ARE SAFE. YOU ARE GETTING BETTER. You must tell yourself that a million times. But no matter; it still doesn't stop yourself from stressing over it.
I wish I could convey to you how scary this virus is and how expensive it has been during, and especially now that she no longer has covid. Our family appreciates every thought, prayers, and well wishes. Please share this-- so that others can see how virus still affects survives long after their diagnosis.
And if you are able to donate even a dollar, it would go such a long way to help with her recovery. Please consider sending get-well cards to her as well. Kind words can go a long way in raising one's spirits during such a hardship. Thank you all for your support and help during such a long hard fought battle.
Mom, you've been through so much this year and I am so thankful that you are still here with me and in my life. I could not imagine this world without you in it.

I may have decided to update it a little bit...
I’m still getting the hang of this drawing thing
This is Sierra, my dad’s rescue doggo that was bit by a copper head snake. She’s okay thankfully, but I’d thought I’d share this doped up picture after she got back from the vet.
She’s still learning the difference between alerting us to danger and not charging in head first.
