Shoutout to my buddy for patiently waiting for me to finish between the chossy death scrambles, raft hitchhiking, rock hopping, and slot canyon climbing.

a) I love these SO much, utterly gorgeous, full of life and energy

b) I extra love seeing paintings of places and going "Oh my god I've BEEN THERE" because I've also painted them. This is a janky scan from 2013, but Deer Creek!

Painting or drawing cements places in memory in a totally different way from taking photos and it rules

aw I love seeing different interpretations of the same place! I remember those hand prints too, I totally missed them when i visited for the first time in 2024, some looked small enough to be kids' hands (dw not touching them here) didn't see any scrorps this round but got to find a pseudoscorpion that my camera was determined not to focus on.
