scarf progress, day one.
i don't know if i'm knitting this faster than usual because it's Christmas season and that means list in the shop as much as possible before the 15th or so, or if i'm knitting it much slower than usual because it's holiday season, but anyway it's been a nice surprise: i'm spoiled by gentle one-person dye operations where a roving is presumably given its color in an incubator designed to nurture rare fragile baby birds, and it drafts perfectly, but this was pretty stuck at first and i thought i might have to give it up as near-felt. maybe even really felt. massive predrafting was involved, but the yarn and color are making me pretty happy, so it balances out.
(it's malabrigo nube. i got a few colors to play around with, and i don't think the drafting stubbornness/stickiness is a problem with all of them. i'll find out soon.)
