Chapter 3: The Will

The letter read as such;

“Greetings, one who possesses my Will. Please, give this to Princess Blaze the Cat of the Sol Dimension, or her next in line, Kitten… Unless you are either. Then ignore that step.

To Blaze/Kitten: Hello, my friends. As my closest friends here on Mobius, I would like to entrust to you one thing. However, before I tell you what it is, I must tell you WHY you need it. If I have perished, or have met another grueling fate, I know that my core, the Red Gem of Toka-Neru, WILL be used for dark purposes. If, under the circumstances that this does happen, I wish to bestow upon you the gem that will counteract the Red Gem’s power: The Aqua Gem of Toka-Neru. However, the Aqua Gem itself is not enough to dissipate the Red Gem. You will need to craft and master a sword, or any other weapon, really, that will be strong and durable enough to pierce through the Red Gem, and with the Aqua Gem’s power through it. You will need Pristine Metal, found within the mines of Lava Ridge Zone; plans to build such a weapon, made by one whose intelligence meets no equal, and finally, the Gem itself. I have hidden the Aqua Gem within a chest, in the Field of Flowers. I don’t distinctly remember where I hid the chest, but perhaps the energies can be traced. I have disclosed a key to the chest within the Will.

However, said key was not disclosed…

                      Kitana read the letter three times, her heart had been racing when she saw that it was from Ko - Emerl. The very gizoid that was corrupt now and was seeking her death. Yet she calmed down when she saw what it was all about. After understanding everything, she tried to find the key that was disclosed in the letter, only it wasn't anywhere to be found.

Shoot, the letter was intercepted! Someone had managed to get to the letter, and was probably on their way to find the gem. Quickly stuffing the letter into her pocket she packed up camp and made her way off. Hopefully she could find the Gem before them.

"You're a fool!" A smaller version of what appeared to be an armoured Blaze the cat stood before Omega. Her hands were clenched as she pushed up the mask of her helmet. Her golden eyes looked like they were going to catch fire. She was mad, because he was foolish enough to think he could take on Obsidiari. [ Hiya! Just letting you know this is GoldenxFlames ^ w ^ ]

Omega slowly turned around, hands retracted into his bulky arms.

…Wait, what?

“…!? FLUFFY CAT WOMAN…!?”

Why was SHE mad at him!?

What did he do to her?

“I-I THINK YOU G-GOT THE WRONG MACHINE, F-FLUFFY CAT WOMAN! I DIDN’T D-DO ANYTHING TO YOU, H-HONEST!”

“FACT: IT IS APART OF MY PROGRAMMING TO REFER TO ALL THROUGH SUCH TITLES. WOULD YOU PREFER ‘GRUMPY ARMORED FELINE’?” The robot deadpanned, the red glow of his optics narrowed in annoyance. He wasn’t sure why this feline almost seemed…offended by being compared to Blaze. If the robot was ever compared to the pyrokinetic feline, he’d consider it a compliment.

As long as it was noted that he was the superior of the duo, of course. He was the ‘Ultimate Robot’, after all.

Omega’s annoyance only grew at hearing what else the feline had to say, arms crossed as he let out what could only be described as a mechanical growl.

“…IF THAT’S THE CASE, THEN HOW ARE WE GOING TO CRUSH THAT WORTHLESS CONSUMER MODEL? WHAT IS THIS ‘SUPREME WEAPON’ THAT CAN BE USED TO DESTROY THAT GIZOID?”

                    “... Call me what you wish... just don’t refer me to... ‘her’.”

Maybe if Blaze came back and explained everything she wouldn't hold such a resentment towards her. Maybe if she hadn't left for four years, leaving the world in such a state of disrepair she would be more friendly towards her alternates. But since she wasn't and she did... Kitana would always hate her.

When Omega finally decided to stop stroking his Ego, Kitana thought for a moment. She remembered what Bishop said about Obsidiari... and her hand immediately went to her chest. Something about his gem was his strength and weakness... but she didn't know exactly what yet...

                  “His gem, on his chest. It’s his strength, but also his weakness... it’ll be his undoing. I just have to find a way to break it.”

Chapter 3: The Will

As Kitana came out to meet him, the sheriff tipped his hat in greeting.

“Mornin’, Kit. Hope y’ slept well. I do ‘ave somethin’ ‘ere for ya. Hold on a sec.”

The rooster shuffled into his coat, and brought out a letter, which he handed to the knight.

“Postman came ‘round this mornin, rantin’ and ravin’ about somethin that he saw, but I wouldn’t put it past ‘im if all he saw were just a buncha rocks. But this letter’s somethin’ strange; no return address at all! An’ it’s addressed to YOU, Kit. Someone must know yer’ ‘ere. Now I dunno what it says, all I did’s get it to ya. Marked “Urgent” ‘s well. If y’need any help gettin’ someplace, come find me an’ I’ll set ya straight.”

                   A letter? Kitana really didn't have any friends or family that could mail her. Torch, Taraleye.... Blaze. They were all gone and left her alone. So this came as a surprise, she gave a look of confusion to the sheriff. She almost wanted to ask if it was just a mistaken address. But took it anyways, and sure enough it was addressed to her. It looks like the letter has been pretty much everywhere in the region. Everywhere she has gone, the letter seemed to have followed after her... but how?

The letter wasn't big, in face, it barely weighed anything. So why was it so urgent. She thanked Cogburn for delivering it to her and made her way out of the town. Deciding reading the letter there would only put the citizen’s in even more danger. Especially if the sender knew exactly where she was.

With a good amount of distance put between her in the town, she decided to set up a place to lay low for a while. Taking the letter and finally opening it. All that was in it was a letter, which she promptly read.

Chapter 3: The Will

The morning after her successful triumph, Sheriff Cogburn had come back to knock upon Kitana’s door. Calming down from the festivities of yesterday, the people resumed their normal lives; before the Hollow Men, the Armada, came. Sure, there were still the possibilities of other thieves and the Banditoads coming back, but compared to the Armada, those buffoons were a piece of cake.

“‘Ey, Kit! Sorry t’ disturb ya, but there’s somethin’ ‘ere for you! C’mon out as soon as y’can!”

                   Kitana has just finished the last clasp on her chest plate. She was planning on sneaking out of the village quietly, having slipped on her leather boots and had her armourer one’s tied snugly to her bag. Yet her ears perked up at the sound of a knock at her door and the sheriffs voice on the other side.

She picked up her stuff as she made her way out of the house. Thanking those who allowed her to lodge for the night. She had already made up her mind and even though the loving couple were willing to have her stay forever... Kit knew that she had to face Obsidiari.

She would give him what he wanted... instead of trying to have her hunted down she would go to him... but this time she will be prepared. It won’t be like last time, she won’t be caught off guard.

                   “Sheriff Cogburn? You said there was something for me?”

She approached the Rooster mobian in the little town as she peered at him with curiosity. He had informed her that there was something for her.

Chapter 2: The Fountain's Cure (Closed RP With fieryblades)

The spiritual Lion came forth once more from his wisp-like form, and surveyed the area. Now calmed, His blazing blue mane calmed to a soft kindle, and his bare-fanged glance turned softer.

“Yes… I see now that the evil Hollow Men are gone… this place is clean.

You have done well, Knight. If I were you, I’d head back to Somber Town… the people there may want to reward you for your efforts.

And remember; endings can become new beginnings. It is just how it ends that matters for the next cycle…”

At that, the lion transformed once more into a wisp, and he himself went into the Fountain of Life.

                   Kitana almost collapsed onto the ground next to the fountain. The wound that had just healed not moments ago... had drained everything out of her. Yet she needed to make her way back down the mountain to the village. She would rest when she was absolutely sure that everything was safe.

The trek down the mountain wasn’t easy. Even though going down hill was much easier than up. She felt like she was going to trip over her own feet and tumble down the mountain head first. She had to stay awake.

                 She took her first step out onto flat land, her eyes practically widening at the sight. The fountain, everything around the base of the mountain had gained a little colour. Flourishing in a lush green instead of the burnt yellow she was used to... was it the guardian spirit’s doing? Since she protected the fountain now it protected this area?

She made her way to the village, seeing that the sheriff had managed to recover everything that Deacon had taken from them. The little town even seemed to be celebrating. The guardian said that they had a reward for her... but she wasn’t going to accept it. Passage to the Fountain of Life and healing her wound was all that she accepted as a reward. Besides, she had to keep moving.

                           “El’ Kitana!”

                         “Sheriff Cogburn... I’m glad that Sombre Town is fairing better than it was when I left-”

Yet she was surprised instead of thanking her, he took her gloved hand and tugged her to the festivities. Telling her that ever since the Wolf Robot’s fled the mountains there was an explosion of life in the fields. Everyone assumed that she had managed to save the fountain of life.

The Guardian was right and the Town did want to reward her, but all she asked for was some supplies and a place to spend the night. As much as she would have enjoyed to join in on their festivities. Her eyelids couldn’t take much more.

After having removed her armour, and checking the area where the wound once was. She wasn’t surprised to see it completely vanish. But... this would be her only second chance... she had to find out Obisidari’s weakness, either that or she had to become much stronger. Something she was afraid she couldn’t do.

                      “... His strength... and his weakness...”

She recalled Deacon’s words, what did he mean by that. It made little to no sense. How could such a powerful object be seen as a weakness along with a strength. She promptly shook the thought out of her head. It was too much for a exhausted mind.

Climbing into the soft bed, she curled herself up under it’s warm blankets. She was sure she’d remember this warmth for weeks to come. Even while she slept under a blanket of cold air tomorrow night. Her eye’s didn’t need commanding as they fell on their own, allowing the now relaxed Kitten...

…Seriously, did he not have an alternate in this zone or something?

If he did, she would have OBVIOUSLY known who he was!

“OBSERVATION: WELL NOW, TODAY IS YOUR LUCKY DAY, STRANGE NOT-FLUFFY-CAT-WOMAN FELINE! I AM A MASTER AT OBLITERATING ANYTHING! EGGMAN ROBOTS, BUILDINGS, FLABBY HAIRY MEATBAGS IN RED SUITS…ANYTHING!”

…He had to admit, he still had an urge to eviscerate the feeling for all those insults earlier.

In the long run, he was determined to destroy SOMETHING.

…Now, whether it be her, the gizoid, or something else entirely remained yet to be seen…

                  Kit crossed her arms, he still didn’t get it did he... Obsidiari in his current from was invincible! Not a hundred lasers or missiles could stop him! And Omega was going to get himself killed trying to attempt to do so.

                  “Will you stop calling me that! It’s Kitana... Kit-an-a!”

She was sick and tired of being compared to her alternate. She wasn’t Blaze and no one could convince her otherwise. No matter what anyone told her, she was her own being and not an alternate of anyone else. She turned away from him, ready to walk away if her next words didn’t get through his thick metallic skull—

                  “We can’t destroy Obsidiari with a bunch of missiles or gun fire. Even if he stood around and did nothing! His gem is giving him power and right now we don’t have the right weapon to fight him! Don’t go wasting you robotic life over that ego of yours!”

Chapter 2: The Fountain's Cure (Closed RP With fieryblades)

The girl had obviously been training, Deacon analyzed, as he was being slightly overpowered, but with his robotic power, no exhaustion came to him.

But all was going to be for naught…

“GRCK!”

The weasel’s optics shrunk as the sword pierced his core and chest. Sparks fly through both ends, and oil, in place of blood, splattered against the cavern floor, and the Wolves, shocked by this outcome, all started to retreat. As the Last one left, Deacon spoke, now with a glitch in his voice-box.

“y-ou Do-ne we-well, Kn-Knight. Per-HAPS you m-ay be f—IT enough to de-de-defeat H-HIM.

Bu-But… The-the GEM is his Stro-STRONG point… A-and his weak-weakness…”

And at that Deacon fell to the ground, deactivated for good.

                Kitana bit back the remorse that pricked the edge of her eye’s. Damn her and her mortal emotions, if anything was her one weakness it was her compassion towards others... she almost damned herself for it. She listened to Deacon’s last words. The gem was his strength... and weakness? But that didn’t make any sense.

The robotic weasel practically slipped from her blade as she lowered him to the ground. She would give him a  burial... but she didn’t think it necessary. Her eye’s glanced around the scene, seeing that the fountain was now safe. She sheathed her blade.

              “Guardian, I have completed my task... the fountain is safe. But I fear it may be attacked again. It’ll be impossible to protect at this rate. So I must destroy the threat at it’s source.”

              “I must destroy Obsidiari! Once and for all!”

"I-I…WELL…" The robot paused for a moment to try and find the right words. "…I HAVE DECIDED TO… DEAL WITH YOU LATER. FOR NOW, MY PRIMARY OBJECTIVE WILL BE TO OBLITERATE THAT DELUSIONAL GIZOID WHO CLAIMS HE IS SUPERIOR TO ME!"

He almost forgot about his strong desire to riddling that bot with gunfire.

…He cannot forget something so crucial!

                   Kitana blinked at him in confusion, he had a strange mind, for a robot... One minute he was ready to tear her apart. And the next he was offering to help her? He really was a fool... but she gently shook her head.

                   "There's... nothing either of us can do now. Though I have an idea of what his one true weakness is. It's the crystal in his chest... but it can't be pierced by anything... and even I haven't found a way to break it..."

This information was probably the reason he wanted to kill her. Not to mention she was the 'Kitten' from early in the Gizoid's life. He was sure he didn't want Ko to rewaken...

The robot couldn’t help but instinctively clench his fists in anger upon hearing the feline’s words.

Despite insulting him, denying his superiority, among other things…

…She was STILL a ‘Fluffy Cat Woman’.

…At least, in his ‘eyes’.

…Even if this one was much different than the Blaze he knew.

"RETRACTION: ERR…PERHAPS I SPOKE A BIT TOO…BLUNTLY," Well, that was one way to put it… "…NEVERTHELESS, I AM UNSURE WHY THE CRAZED GIZOID SEEKS TO OBLITERATE YOU. I BELIEVE IT IS DUE TO HIS LACK OF SANITY."

"…DO YOU REQUIRE ASSISTANCE…? I DO NOT WISH FOR A UNIVERSE RAN BY A DELUSIONAL AND INFERIOR MACHINE, EVEN IF THIS UNIVERSE IS NOT MY HOME…"

                   "... I understand... but didn't you want to obliterate me earlier for being 'Blaze's' faker?"

She gently clenched her fists at the name of Blaze. No, she wouldn't tell Omega that Blaze was the one who had destoryed this world, not Obsidiari. He seemed to hold her in a high regard. She wondered if he would even believe her if she told him. He looked too stubborn to even accept the truth.

Upon seeing that he landed a hit, the war machine stopped spinning.

Upon seeing blood begin to trickle down her muzzle, however, the robot felt a little…bad?

…Was he feeling ‘guilty’?

…Bah! Nonsense!

This meatbag insulted him, denying his superiority! He should not feel ‘guilty’!

Kitana’s declaration made the robot let out a mechanical snort.

"YOU? DEFEAT THE DERANGED GIZOID? PLEASE! IF I COULD NOT DAMAGE HIM, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU TO EVEN DENT HIM! CEASE THE NONSENSICAL CHILDISH ‘HERO’ CHARADE, NOW!”

                    "If I'm not a threat to him, then why does he have me hunted down? If I can't do anything to him, then why is he fighting to have me destroyed?! He let you go because he knows you can't do anything against him... but he wants me DEAD!"

Kitana gripped her sword, ignoring the metallic taste that was building up in her mouth. She could care little if she died in the attempt. She would not allow obsidiari to rule this world any longer!

                   But Omega was right... how was she suppose to do that? There was no way to even leave a scratch on him. She couldn't even defeat him the first time she faced him. She gently touched her chest.

                   "Maybe you're right.... but if I don't try... this place will be under his shadow forever..."

Upon seeing the feline charge forward, the robot stopped his barrage of missiles, and instead his upper body began to spin around and around quickly.

Arms outstretched, the war machine was practically a spinning top of pain.

“YOU? A KNIGHT? PLEASE. STOP CONTINUING TO PUT SO MUCH FAITH IN YOUR OWN DELUSIONS,” The war machine scoffed.

Poor, poor insane Blaze alternate…

If only he knew psychology, then perhaps he could help her. 

…Perhaps he could beat the sense back into her…?

The feline had no way of dodging, no matter how fast she was. He hit her and knocked her backwards. It ached in her cheek, but she just managed to catch herself. Blood was trickling down and staining her muzzle. She panted before pulling herself up right.

                      "I AM A KNIGHT! AND I WILL DEFEAT OBSIDIARI! Whether or not you believe it... I will defend this world! Even if it leads me to my grave!"

The robot was caught unprepared for the attack, stumbling over onto the ground in shock.

In his rage, the war machine had forgotten just how quick the feline could be.

"BAH!
