Cue Raven picking up baby Lucius and getting tf out of here. No battlefields for you!!!
@of-invisible-ties
He doesn't even have a chance to realize what's happening before he's plucked off his feet and carried off.
It's not quite as disorienting as the magic that had summoned him here, but it still leaves him a little dizzy. Dizzy enough to clutch at the sleeve of the arm currently carrying him
"U-um. Where are we going?" He stares up a bit uncertainly at the face of the man marching away from where he had been standing. "The others might need my help! W-what if one of them gets injured?"
baby lucius is so cute i might cry
oh my god look at him he is so small
of-invisible-ties:
“Thank you, Master.”
“As always, I shall endeavor to fulfill your orders.”
“And I have never doubted your eventual success.” Even if he’s a bit surprised how easily he’s taken to the task.
“Lady Sanaki will be most overjoyed at your efforts.”
He’s actually doing much better than he had expected.
cavaliant:
“Well, if they didn’t like them, I suppose they wouldn’t bother eating them.” Unless she had forced the demons to do her bidding or something. Her evil bidding of eating lemons.
“The demon I once was didn’t learn he liked a great many things until others helped him realize it.”
“A lot of demons are like that! Some of them don’t even know about things like candy or bunnies. So then I show them.”
“Some of them still don’t like bunnies, though. And one still didn’t like candy even after I gave them some. Do you like candy now?”
Appears to strike terror into puppies everywhere.
muraenide:
“It makes me feel nothing but pleased to hear that you like it. I would like you to keep it.” He speaks as if it was his to give away in the first place. But he’ll let himself worry about that at a future date. “And of course, if anyone demands its return, feel free to summon a demon to dispel them.”
She’s already happily swinging around her new “staff” while he continues to talk. When he mentioned demons, though, she stopped immediately to squint up at him.
“Do you summon demons too?” She stared at him intently for a few seconds before frowning. “No you don’t. You’re like me. You like to listen to people’s voices too. I can’t tell if I like your voice yet. It’s very nice - like the sea, but it’s so quiet.”

@fieryties II continued from here
“Well, yes,” Stocke answers. “It’s a weapon. That’s the intent.”
Maybe he’s being a bit too blunt. Most people got on his case for that, but Stocke wasn’t inclined to change. Besides, this strange world of heroes was practically its own warzone. This girl would need to get her hands on a weapon sooner or later … although Stocke had the feeling that she could defend herself in other ways, if needed.
He couldn’t put his finger on it, but he could tell something was off about her.
“Do you need help with it? I’m better with swords, but I had a friend teach me all about lances. I could give you some pointers.”
“It doesn’t have any magic in it,” She said waving it around as well as she could - it was fairly heavy for her even if she had occasionally carried around a sword or two while marching in Thracia.
Not that no magic was a bad thing by itself. Sometimes brute force was better anyway, but... “This doesn’t seem as easy to hit people with as a sword.” Swords were handy. You could either stab someone or hit them over the head and either usually worked from what she had seen.
“I think your friend was boring if he didn’t like swords.

“Unfortunately it’s a limited edition in the Coral Sea. There will always only be one.” He can’t say where he’d found it, oh no, that was his dirty little secret ~ “Though I believe it is possible to change it’s colour using the magic it already possesses.”
Poseidon screaming from beneath the grave. Or in the skies. He doesn’t care.
“Magic?” Hm. Maybe it was a better kind of staff then she had been expecting.
“Let’s see then! Staff! Turn purple! Hm maybe not a super deep purple. Like a light purple. Like ice cream purple.”
Sure enough the staff warped and shimmered until the tint shifted to a fluffy purple.
“Ok I like this staff, Mister! It’s not boring at all!”
Stocke's just awkwardly going to hand her a lance because it LOOKS like a staff. Whoops. (I'm not sorry.)
"Whoa..." She wasn't actually expecting to get all these....things that kind of looked like a staff.
"This looks like those things Salem could never learn how to fight with." She takes it anyway even though it's taller than her and probably too pointy to be swinging around.
"Do you think I could kill someone with this?" A normal childlike question.
Gives her Poseidon's trident.
"That's a weird looking staff!"
That doesn't stop her from taking it, though. Not for a second. She swings it in the air a few times as if testing how much force it takes and then stares back up at him.
"Where did you get it? Are there more like this? A purple one would be nice too."
She needs a new staff...
No one will mind if she takes the biggest sword for herself will they?
She needs it. For...things.
cavaliant:
“Why’s that the first thing you think of, Boss?? But, uh…maybe. Guy I lost to only dared me to stand in the middle of the courtyard and yell these sorts of things, though. I said hey, easy enough.” Since he’s most definitely, unfortunately out of money again.
Yeah that sounded pretty typical for Balthus. “Well far be it from me to keep you from your legally contracted workday. Anything else more interesting he wanted you to shout?”
cavaliant:
“What’s a guy gotta do to get some good GRUB around here? All this honing my STEEL-CUT ABS has me hankering for a hearty meal washed down with some drink as strong as my MEGA-TON fists!”
“You lose another bet or something?” Not that this was particularly strange behavior for Balthus. Just...a bit unexpected
