“A Seoul sweetheart, huh?” He’s awful, no doubt in that. Choe turns in his seat, now facing the young woman to get a better look at her. “From Ulsan, but I’ve been here for quite some time now.”

Queen nodded but seem unphased by being referred to as a sweetheart, even if it was the first time she had been considered as such. She briefly wondered if he would still see her as such if he knew who she was. "I see. Can I ask why you left?" She wasn't normally one for small talk, but she had time to spare.

“Yeah?” A brief laugh escaped from him, “Glad to know that things haven’t changed too much since I last saw you two.” After that, Kogami fell into silence, not having very much else to say after that. He was never much of a conversationalist to begin with so it wasn’t surprising for him to be at a loss for words for what to say, especially given that it was more idle conversation than work-related topics.

He then remembered that she spoke of quitting martial arts at one point so he asked: “So did you quit from martial arts for good or just doing it as a hobby now?”

The teens lips tugged into a slight smile and a small nod. It felt good to hear him laugh, even if it was only for a short instance. The silence felt oddly familiar, she considered asking him about how his life had been since her departure but held back. At least he seemed no worse for wear. 

She felt her heart sink a little as the subject arose, it felt like a lifetime ago when she had sworn that she wouldn't allow her life to be dictated, But life rarely took a pleasant course it seemed. "I haven't officially retired..." She began. "But my schedule hasn't allowed me much free time to train or compete..."
