Blind-Date | Fem/Bōsōzoku!AU

There was a first time for anything, right? And it surely was a first time for her today.
Yuuto was not the type of girl to settle for a blind date, really. But sometimes, the danger that would unfold from such a meeting was certainly thrilling. All she knew, was that the man’s name was Miya (or at least that’s what he used to introduce himself to her), and that he’d be hard not to be spotted thanks to his red hair. “Red hair, huh…” She mumbled as she sat in the bar at the far corner, rolling the glass of water in her hands in a manner to have the ice cubes clink against the glass rhythmically. Honestly, usually redheads weren’t entirely her type – but the rest sounded pretty neat.
He loved motorcycles, he loved dogs, he always seemed to be rather light-hearted and funny – he may want to improve his flirting, but boys will be boys…
While she looked at her wristwatch, it was evident that the man had been late. Either that, or he stood her up. Hopefully not the latter! Surely, Shinkai would just move along and meet other people, she wasn’t attached to him (yet), for they hadn’t seen each other before. But it would be quite sad to not have any reason behind the man’s change in plans. The last thing he could’ve done was to tell her that she either wasn’t his type or that he was stuck in traffic, anything, really. She was the most patient and understanding (aside from her bratty attitude), so Yuuto saw no reason why the man was not approaching her through texts.
Therefore, she looked at her phone and checked his status on LINE, wondering if she hadn’t received his messages due to poor signal in the bar, but to no avail. Everything seemed in order.
That’s when she also checked if she had named him what she was wearing so he could identify her – and she did mention her pastel yellow dress and the small headband she tied into her hair with black and yellow stripes. Even though she hated to seem desperate, she also wanted to be polite: therefore she was typing up a message to him, asking if he was okay or if something intervened on his way there.
even on a blind date, it wasn’t like machimiya to be on - time, he was always fashionably late . . . even if it came to meeting women off the internet. the meeting place was set in a plain little bar, it seemed like an oddly fitting place for two strangers to meet. he felt his phone buzz the moment that he stepped into the bar, he didn’t bother to check it. certainly, it was his date asking whether or not he was going to be making an appearance or not -- though, machimiya wasn’t such a prick that he would stand any woman up . . . it would have been cowardly. if he didn’t like someone in person, he would simply tell them that he wasn’t feeling it -- he was a prick enough for that.
he hardly dressed up for the occasion, despite his date describing herself wearing a cute dress, headband combo. he simply wore khakis & a t - shirt. his hair was still somewhat messy from his nap earlier, and his eye bags were still dark as ever.
it wasn’t very difficult to spot a woman all dressed in yellow, not even if she was tucked into the furthest corner of the bar she was easily spotted. a sly grin on his face, he raised a hand in greeting to the girl. he would hope that she would simply laugh off the fact that he was only somewhat late. machimiya took it upon himself to sit down in the stool next to the girl, not bothering to pleasantly introduce himself. “you look great. hope you didn’t wait too long on me.” of course, the statement was just a formality -- it was his own fault that he had been super late.
waving to the bartender, he ordered himself a beer. he made himself comfortable in the woman’s presence. after meeting so many people on blind dates, he forgot what it was like to feel awkward about meeting someone for the first time.
