Your hang-up with penises is honestly ridiculous. As a lesbian, a woman who likes women, you will like and date and sleep with trans women just as you will with cis women. Lots of trans women get vaginas, and not all sex involves genitals. Not to mention, you can have a satisfying healthy relationship without all this focus on sex. You need to do a little soul searching here, sweetheart.

My sexuality is innate, natural, and worthy of respect. As a lesbian, I am attracted to other female people, and i will date and sleep with only those with whom I wish to do so. I actively desire the entire female form, and feel no obligation to force myself to sexually tolerate the male one, regardless of surgery. I would like further information on sex that has nothing to do with genitals. Not to mention, I should not have to forgo relationships that I find fulfilling with people I desire simply to please you. I’ve had years of internal struggle that went into coming to terms with my sexuality, and I’ve found peace in the answer I found.

trans prison anon here. I am not prioritizing the safety of a single male, but the safety of a woman. I consider MTF trans women under the category of women, whic I assume you don't. Sorry for the wrong assumption of trans women being majority straight, I didn't mean to waste your time. I guess the stereotype of a trans folk in prison I have rooted in my mind is linked to trans sex workers, a category that would be very fragile in a bio-men dominated environment such as a mens prison. - 1/2

I get what you're saying, but I think its important to note that regardless of whether or not you consider trans women under the "category of woman", they are male. That's indisputable, and I try to base my politics and opinions on truths verses emotions or what feels nice, so that's why my opinion on housing males who don't identify as men in female spaces is what it is!

Doubling down though, I do think trans women have the right to be housed away from men. I just don't think we need to compromise female safety to do so. I'm also the person who authored that post a long time ago about how womens prisons should not have any male staff because marginalized women with no escape should not be around males who can abuse that position.....so my thoughts are consistent here!

I think its important to remember, as well, that 40% of trans women in UK prisons are sex offenders. The image of a trans sex worker is an empathetic one, but not necessarily reflective of incarcerated reality.

i cant speak for the eastern european affairs but!!! ppl seem to wonder why are there many terfs/radfems/gendercrit that are also eastern european. the answer is simple: we are born and raised in highly conservative cultures that enforce gender roles way more than in the west/america. due to this 1. the majority cannot be fooled into parroting pseudoscience ie. sex is a spectrum. the men and women are very well aware that sex is a binary and that female people are discriminated against because of their sex. 2. the majority know that you cannot change your sex.

liberal feminism offers 0 solutions and explanations about men's behaviour. its useless to us, and, frankly, any woman on this planet. it brings no resources, it consoles no one, it educates no one.

I lost my virginity when I was drugged and raped by a friend at 15 years old. I was already in therapy at the time. But the shift focused on did you say no? And when it was clear I was raped, the psychologist dissuaded me from going to the police “because no one will believe you”.

Turns out no one believed that he undressed my bandaged arms. And squeezed my thigh.

The focus became on “you’ll be normal! You can have sex again”

I didn’t have the courage to say I’m a lesbian. I focused on being “normal”. So I tried harder. I conformed. Makeup, an ‘interest’ in guys. I had a relationship that I felt nothing but discomfort during. And even one night stands after that relationship ended.

Transition was a way to disconnect from my body further. I could move freely through the world without male attention, but I also lost the attention of the women, I deep down knew I loved. I hurt this body. I cut this body, I burned it and I starved it. I surgically altered it all because I thought it would turn me into someone that was free from this pain.

I recently self harmed. I cut my neck. In a mini breakdown I felt him breathing on me. So I decided to cut. Pain was better than feeling him. That’s the fun thing about scar tissue, it tingles and itches whilst it heals, but eventually it’s reduced sensation.

I don’t know how to live in this body sober. I don’t know what to do.

Ask part 1: How did you know you were bisexual? I’m having a hard time right now. I went back and forth on if I was or wasn't bisexual until I was a freshman in college. It wasn't until I had a sexual experience (which I classify as more than kissing) with a woman that I knew for sure. I know, personally, that I'm bisexual because I enjoy sex with both men and women. I walk away from both experiences feeling happy. Both women and men make me horny, flirtatious, and romantically smitten.

If you know for sure you feel this way towards women, but feel neutral or disinterested towards men, then more likely than not you're a lesbian.
