AND he took in the weight of his self-given crown, had retained some natural ability to rule, proud in every sense and almost impossible to measure in his heart ( mara is proud, too ). every fallen cut down by a mad guardian, another was added to the scorn banner. admittedly a cruel cycle that had no intention ending any time soon, for when uldren’s days were finally up, his hatred toward the guardians would forever take form in the corrupted ether his children breathed. fikrul the beginning, the firstborn. uldren smiled, and for only a second, black momentarily snuffed out the golden glow of his eyes. ‘ my son, the day i plucked you from death itself, you’ve been nothing but promising. ’ he purred, his voice like warm summer winds settling in rheasilvia ( such a tone he didn’t remember having ). his claws traced the armrest of an old, geode throne. turned, sat, folded hands underneath his chin. ‘ i’m fortunate to have you by my side. ’
The smile on his father’s face leads something akin to the same expression to Fikrul’s face, albeit hidden by the helmet he always wears. He rarely removes it, he hasn’t unless necessary since the day he got it. He’s proud to be the first of the Scorn. To be chosen by Uldren to assist in leading their army is the highest honor Fikrul can think of.
“And I am fortunate, to be your son.” Fikrul brings himself to stand again, leaning on his arcstaff for support. Though he doesn’t need to use the staff as a support, he’s gotten used to doing so. “It is an honor to serve you.”
A pause from the Fanatic, a few rasps, then he adds in. “The Guardians fail to realize, they only contribute to our numbers. Their contribution to the vicious cycle, is pleasing.” He doesn’t take joy that Eliksni are dying, exactly, but the Guardians have done nothing but assist the Scorn in their endeavor to progress the Eliksni, to rid them of the ways of the past. Scorn are paving the way to the future. “How thoughtless they are. Helping their enemy without a care.”
“Dad, Araskes hid the xbox controller.”
Why did we stop making these memes? I need more of Uldren as a single dad of eight rambunctious children that he spontaneously adopted

"Father," Fikrul's rasping voice speaks up as he comes to approach the Scorn King, arcstaff thudding against the ground out of time with the Archon's footsteps as he draws closer. He takes a knee and bows his head, then pauses and takes a rattling breath- something he no longer needs, but continues to do out of familiarity- before he looks up and continues to speak.
"My duties for the day, have been finished. Our ranks grow with each passing day, Ether flow is steady, I have estimated that our army will be twice as strong within the week if all goes well." Another rattle comes from Fikrul, a sound ever-present since his rebirth as Scorn after a near-death at the hands of the Guardians he's come to despise. "The future of the House of Scorn is beginning to look brighter, would you agree?"

To be certain, Spider wasn’t terribly surprised to see Fikrul lumbering through the tight confines of his safehouse. The contract and supplies he had so graciously given to Uldren and his Barons had been severed simply because he was no longer benefiting, and that they had ultimately broken it themselves. What had become of the group had not been what Spider expected nor endorsed, and so his support was withdrawn. To say that there was something wrong was a subjective statement, for he too, walked a very fine moral line.
Something of a hum reverberated from within the kingpin’s chest as his head tilted in the slightest, neck craned to look up at the would-be Archon. “A deal,” he echoed in response, fingers drumming a short, rhythmic beat against his thigh. “The bounty on your head has nothingto do with me, and more with your greed for vengeance.” Collectively, that was. His eyes narrowed; the cyan glow dimming momentarily as he continued, “I upheld my end of the deal, and you broke yours by disassembling their Vanguard. You believed that they would lie back and accept it? It’s not an eye for eye if they’re already blind!” He leaned back with some force then, the collision of his armour making an audible thud against the curvature of his throne.
“Tell me why I should be interested in striking another deal with your lot if you couldn’t uphold the first one?”
“This is not a deal with the others as well, myself only.” Fikrul replies, the set of hands on his arcstaff tightening their grip ever so slightly. “The Lightmongers, the residents of the Tower, are not blind. They had chosen their own involvement in this the moment Cayde-6 was sent to the Reef. His presence, his interference, brandishing his Ghost before those meaning to escape, surely he knew exactly what he was risking. Doubtless others would have known, as well. And yet, he arrived nevertheless. The foolhardiness of an important figure is their own fault.” His breath, though unnecessary, rattles in his chest as he speaks. “His death was not planned, but a necessity for our own freedom.”
The Baron squares his shoulders, looking down at the Spider. “My kin are being cut down by the number, in...a greed for vengeance, in your words. Their plights are my own, and I would do almost anything to assist them. Should that mean upholding a deal that is unlikely to be made in the first place, then so be it. My loyalty to my children is as binding as any contract, if not more so. That is to say, you can trust me to uphold this one, for the sake of my family.” A pause, another rattling breath, and he continues. “We have established ourselves well enough that I’m able to make an offer...a trade, if you will. If you would be willing to entertain the idea for consideration, I would be willing to give further explanation.”

Never before had Fikrul considered directly paying a visit to the Spider, but desperate times were calling for desperate measures. Scorn numbers were being cut significantly with an influx of Lightmongers to the shore, and Fikrul needed something to be done about it. With so many filling out duties for Spider, the Baron figured this was as good of a place as any to get started. Indeed, he was willing to make a deal. Anything to spare his children this mindless slaughter.
Taking a deep breath, he ducks low to make his way down to Spider’s very safehouse, having to stoop nearly embarrassingly low just to avoid hitting his helmet against the ceiling. His heavy footsteps announce his arrival long before he appears. Fikrul knows coming here may be foolish, but he feels no fear regarding his decision. Fikrul knows he could make his way out of there with little to no struggle.
“Spider,” he rasps, “I have come to speak with you, despite the price on my head. I wish...to make an arrangement. A deal.”
