selfishly hated no wonder you're jaded // Fili & Thorin (may 3rd)
Fili stumbled as he made his way inside the Durin home. He'd used the spare set of keys he kept tucked away in the back of a drawer, it was probably the first time he'd ever used them. He tripped on his own feet and collided with a table. He knocked a vase over and tried to catch it as it rolled but only succeeded in sending it flying across the room. It shattered when it hit the ground. Fili shushed it loudly then snorted to himself. He wondered if that had been expensive, perhaps a prized item that belonged to Dis. A large spiteful part of him hope that it was.
Fili was drunk. He'd been drunk since Kili had left him two days ago. Beer hadn't even cut it anymore and he'd gotten tired of dropping the bottles every time he fumbled in his attempts to open them, so he'd just gone straight for the vodka. It'd taken him two days to drag himself out of his pit of self pity to actually come here. He never would have done it when he was sober.
He was looking for Kili. He needed to speak to him... he didn't even know what he was going to say. There was a large self destructive part of himself that wanted to lash out at his brother, to see him hurting as much as he hurt. But another part of him just needed Kili, no matter how angry he was at what Kili had done, he felt like he was drowning without him. Fili didn't want to see the rest of his family, he'd hoped to come in as quietly as possible and head straight for Kili's room because that was the only place he could think where to find him, but it looked like that option was out of the window. The shattering glass was loud and the house was dark and quiet, there was no way it wouldn't have woken up the entire household. Deciding that attempting any kind of stealth was pointless now, Fili stumbled over to the foot of the stairs and leaned against the banister. "Kili!" he shouted. "Come on wake up, get your lazy ass out of bed, Kili!"
