Hey guys, I've been rather busy with life and writing the script (I'm so glad for my co-writer friend who's getting me off my ass to polish this). Act 3 has been a real toughie to develop. Endings are always hard, so I'm taking my time and doing lots of writing and thematic research. Anyway, here's a cute little render I did in my off time!
Also, none of this promotional stuff is canon but moreso to give the look of the show and to give fans a little more food. There'll be some stuff with more ominous symbological meaning, but renders like this are just for fun.
Ep 9 Alt Script is going good. Currently have the structure figured out, now just planning scenes and suffering with dialogue. Here's a Render of Pomni as a sweet treat:
Honestly, the catharsis I am feeling from writing this script has been liberating. So much love and detail is being poured into it, yet it could still end up dogshit. Hope people will understand the vision I am trying to fulfill.
Ohhh, the script is scripting all right, mehehehehe
I'm currently developing an alternative episode script for Ep 9 of TADC. Follow me if you are interested or if you just like these renders, 'cus there's gonna be plenty more. If you wanted a little more of Ribbit's character, stay tuned...
I might make this a video, just to deep dive into character roles, relationships, and dynamics (not to mention character designs) because this feels... INSANE when looking at it.
Pomni = Charlie (main newbie character who doesn't know anything so that the audience can understand the story, and is trying to redeem or understand the secondary main character)
Jax = Angel Dust (secondary main character with abusive backstory that also harrasses the people around him that grows and then retracts by his own actions as the story goes on)
Ragatha = Vaggie (supportive female character that isn't developed yet is used for plot convenience and should know way more but just doesnt, in regards to Kinger and what angels can and can't do. Hell, both have the X IN THE EYE, a skirt, and a bow)
Kinger = Lucifer (woobified dad meant for plot convenience and lore dumping with no subversion or interesting character conflicts)
Gangle = Sir Pentious (the only non-main character that gets real growth within their shows and must conform to their abusers (Jax, and heaven, who tried to kill Sir Pentious even if it was secret))
Zooble = Husk (grumpy bartender who extends their hand to secondary main character)
Caine = Alastor (the character that lurks in the background and is there for lore interest. Both need power and control 24/7 because they are control freaks. They both conjure. They are both the COLOR RED with a BLUE ENEMY, constantly smiling, manipulative, and have a tiny servant)
Bubble = Nifty (connection to cameras, servant to Red, smiley evil)
Like, AM I CRAZY? Even the CHARACTER DESIGNS are similar, both Caine and Alastor are SMILING and RED and HAVE SHOWMAN PERSONALITIES. VAGGIE AND RAGATHA HAVE BOWS AND AN X FOR ONE OF THEIR EYES.
It's no joke 1:1 (and this isn't supposed to be hate on Gooseworx, but it's just a crazy connection).

My fastness in making TADC poses is due to me becoming an animator in the TADC Ep 9 Re-Write project. This is not where my script is going into (I have a vastly different take) but where my animation practice is currently going into.
That's right, I, formerly TADCToGo and now Lemon Sherbet, am writing an alternative Ep 9 script! I understand my audience needs some characters to significantly develop and some mysteries to be resolved, and I have stepped up to fulfill these needs within my script.
More information under the 'Keep reading':
More about me:
I have been a fan of this show for nearly 8 months, with my skills in 3D animation, lighting, and posing being sharpened through my obsession with TADC. I have a YouTube channel and Tumblr account under the names TADCToGo and FilmsToGo respectively, mostly on theories and analysis on specific trends and consistent patterns shown throughout the series (previous poses I have made are mostly on FilmsToGo on Tumblr, but most 3D promotional art posts will also be here as well). I am no stranger to the absolute chore of editing TADC clips T_T. I am, unfortunately, still a beginner writer, but I am putting lots of time and effort into this script, with clear connections to the source material.
Now, the script!
My creativity in developing theories and connections within the series has given me a rough idea of what I would like Ep 9 to be like in order to resolve character arcs, answer mysteries of the worldbuilding, and what messages I would like communicated. I talk about some more basic elements of my script in this post, but it's mostly intended for possible worries that could arise while gaining more traction in the future.

The most important note, however, is that I want the lore of the circus to add to the characters. What I mean by this is developing and revealing world lore in an engaging, character-focused light. There will be character subversions, there will be LOTS of deviations from Ep 9's canon but EVERYTHING will be canon to TADC's Ep 1-8. And trust me when I say this, this script is going to have a LOT of foreshadowing from previous episodes because I want to stay as true to the source material as I can.
My VISION!
I currently have my Kinger voice actor and am scouting around for more voice actors, however there are no auditions yet, just lists for sign-ups. Auditions will not be anytime soon, as I have not even begun story-boards (it's been only two weeks since I saw the Finale) BUT if you are interested and have some audio examples of your voice acting for this character (even just attempts) then I can put you on the list.
TO ALL STORYBOARDERS, ARTISTS, AND ANIMATORS! YOU, yes YOU! I need promotion, I need layouts, I need community, and you are part of it. If you want this project to continue, REBLOG! COMMENT! LIKE! I will be trying to create a Patreon so I can help fund the project and properly compensate the voice actors, storyboarders, animators, and modellers. This is going to be something I am dedicated to, because I LOVE this series, and I empathize with those who are not satisfied with the ending.
Now, to the nay-sayers:
I get it. You enjoyed the Finale and you don't appreciate people changing the ending. You were emotionally moved and you don't like how people tear apart your validity in connecting to the material. Unfortunately, I didn't connect to it at all, and I think I'm not alone in this. For me, I'd rather do something with that energy and use it to create art than bitch and moan about an artists' take. What Gooseworx made in Ep 9 was not meant for me, but she still made Ep 1-8, and they moved and intrigued me, and for that I am eternally grateful. Gooseworx's creation has resulted in so much art to be made, for so many people to attempt 3D art, myself included. Regardless of my disconnect to Ep 9, I cannot help but thank everyone who made TADC in getting me motivated on animation and writing. Really, this is a mourning piece of art so I can finally lay this show to rest and move on, and the fact I got so attached shows an amount of artistic masterfulness that is difficult to achieve.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, my asks are open and I am willing to answer any question (unless it's a spoiler or I'm sneaky >:] ). Don't worry, there will be more content shown here, so please FOLLOW if you would like more updates or some 3D art of the show. Audition announcements and inquiries will also be here, so stay tuned for that. There will also be streams in the future with the voice actors, including game plays, casual analysis of the show, and possibly some voice overs and maybe specific asks from donations (I need all the funding I can get for this project).

It has come to my attention that many people are interested with my alternative script for Ep 9. While I am very glad that I am not alone in my discontent for Ep 9, I would like to clarify that I am a new writer and that my own biases, theories, and ideas will result in specific focus on specific characters, especially when dealing with these themes.
Here are just a few things I'd like to address:
I am going to try my ABSOLUTE BEST to tie in previous foreshadowing for my script. Ep 1-8 are incredible and I consider absolutely brilliant pieces of art. My disdain is mostly with Ep 9, not with the entire series. While bias from Gooseworx is evident when taking a closer look, particularly when delegating lore and plot importance to male characters while only giving female and enby characters thematic importance, this show is very dear to me and is absolutely amazing. I will not tolerate blatant hate for the show (this may sound hypocritical, given my stance on Ep 9, but please appreciate the show for the thoughtfulness it provides, even if it's not specifically your cup of tea).
There are messages that the show has pushed that I have mixed feelings on, particularly how Kinger's avoidant coping mechanism is not deconstructed (and his only role as an expositional dumping device and role model masculinity yet has 0 flaws he works up from to achieve it, but I am yapping). I am going to try and stay true to the message of human connection, second chances, and finding meaning in a stagnant life, but there will be other themes sprinkled in that I think TADC encompasses, such as how the circus and being a digital copy is similar to human expressions on the eternity of the afterlife, not to mention Scratch's defiance of God's imposed mortality. Messages are important, particularly on death, afterlife, and assumptions on those topics, so they will be ADDRESSED in my script.
A story answering questions on lore does not make is necessarily deep or shallow, it is how that lore benefits the story, themes, and character relations. I have developed explanations on very large pieces of lore in the story (I won't say all because I really can't do ALL), but they will only be dived into if they are relevant to progressing the story and developing the characters. Allegories and symbols will not be subverted. For example, abstraction is still an allegory to suicide, yet explaining how abstraction functions would deepen this understanding that suicide is seen as an escape from misery, but abstraction does not fulfill that. These themes and symbols will continue to persist and be added upon.
One MASSIVE theme I want to explore within my script is femininity and masculinity, and this will require greater focus on female characters. A main gripe I have with the show is how female characters are only used as add-ons for male characters to progress, with off-screen development for their characters. Female characters will not be add-ons in my script, and the only time they are, TRUST ME, it will be as subversion and up and in the audience's face to their horror and dismay at how dehumanized they've become. It won't be subtle.
I have character favorites, but that does not mean that they will hog the screen. Pomni is going to grow, Ragatha is going to grow, and YES, JAX is going to grow. I can see people complaining about Jax but he is a key component of this show whether people like it or not. His character IS important, and that will be heavily addressed within my script. I won't tolerate people saying he doesn't deserve to be addressed because he does. While I do not personally resonate with his character, that does not mean there is nothing to work with or nothing there. He has something interesting to pick apart, and my script will PICK IT APART. He won't, however, hog the screen and stall the momentum of the plot. His growth is integral to the themes I am trying to write within my script. Unfortunately, I am a little stuck for Zooble and Gangle, since they have (according to the show) mostly finalized their arcs by leaning on each other for support. Any commentary and analysis on their characters is WELCOMED because I seriously need help dissecting these two for future growth. There will be many other characters in this script that you will not expect but have plot, character, and thematic relevance. Don't worry, Ribbit is, lore-wise, plot-wise, and thematically, BLOODY IMPORTANT >:]
Please do not over-estimate my writing abilities. Again, I am a beginner, but I am putting my heart and soul into this while doing this for free. I am trying as best as I can to deepen and develop these characters while staying true to the source material, but my biases WILL seep in, even in small amounts. I have subjective opinions about the source material and specific messages being given that are, all things considered, relatively unpopular (seriously, I'm afraid of what people will think on my thoughts on Kinger). This will be developed, explained, and deconstructed in my script, but that does not mean you will agree with these views.
Whatever you think will happen in my script will almost 100% not happen. Please do not expect anything from my script, consider it a piece of art that you do not agree with and you will enjoy it far more. I understand how having high expectations for a piece of art can ruin that piece of media, and I don't want anyone to suffer anymore because of it. I'm not your friend or enemy: I am an artist.
Just because I am writing an alternative script to Ep 9 doesn't mean it is 'better'. Gooseworx has a specific message she wants to communicate, and that is what her episode went to do. My script will fulfill another function: scratching people's itch on mysteries whilst trying to develop the characters in an interesting plot. I know my audience, and they probably did not enjoy the lack of explanations or even new questions given through Ep 9. My episode is gonna try answering some questions, and I might fail and crash and burn, but I will TRY.
Lore in Ep 9 is not relevant to this version of Ep 9. Everything begins from the end of Ep 8. There is a LOT of different stuff to Gooseworx's Ep 9, so clear your head from that version.
Don't expect any new updates or reminders of this script anytime soon. I am very sorry, but this is a LONG script. It is currently at an hour thirty-ish, which is insane, and I am trying my best to cut down yet create something cohesive and well-paced. Again, this is my first time really making a script. I want this to be as well structured as physically possible, and that will take a lot of time, given it's only me making the script. I also have my own life to attend to, but this is a major project of mine as of right now.
IF EP 10 SOMEHOW BECOMES REAL, then I cannot guarantee that this project will continue to exist. Yes, ik, I should learn from 'conformity gate', but there is some foreshadowing for a possible alternative ending for TADC, so... yk, you pray
I WILL, however, be making some fun art and renders that will be teasing my script. As a treat for reading this entire thing, here is a little render:
I just wanted to get this out of the way before more people start asking about my script. I am mostly worried about setting up people's expectations and then having them be disappointed in the result. This is still a personal project, and I am going to try my best to relate it back to the show, but I cannot guarantee you will be happy with the result. I can only guarantee that it will be a piece of art made by me.
