Stayed late today
Just styling
More grinding
A lot of people I've talked to have said their code is growing unwieldy and that its in need of a refactoring. I've been keeping mine clean, and as a result, I'm not quite as far as some people.
Single Page Auth
Is difficult

Typed more code today
Mostly react
Architecture
I’ve got a much better understanding of how this project will work. I’ve also got a pretty sick backend coming along, and it’s almost done.
Last Day Before Final Projects
I can't believe that we're finally here. Welp, time to get cracking!
The Culmination
Today we kicked off a project meant to test out everything we've learned. BenchBnB! Instructions have become more general as we are expected to be more autonomous. Today is general setup, Monday we finish up!
Pokemon!
Today we made a pokedex using react and the flux pattern! It was the best possible last day of pairing. Yay!
Music
Today we got keys on the page, it took us long enough, but they made sounds upon pressing keys on the keyboard. Yay! We used the flux pattern for this, which I must admit, probably used a lot more code than there needed to be. But I can see how this could protect a project from getting too complicated in the future.
Store
Today we made a store, a singleton, globally available, to abstract our API requests away from react. We were able to mafipulate the database from the browser command line! Yay!
React? Oh my!
The pieces are finally coming together - and in a big way. Today they dropped React.js on us, and it’s even more insane and beautiful than I imagined.
We created widgets today, and I think it was the perfect demo for showcasing how dynamic and diverse you can make your web application, while keeping it very organized. My mind is brimming with ideas - I can’t wait to bring everything together and complete my final project using everything I’ve learned.
Mini Twitter!
Today we used ajaj and jQuery to make a Twitter clone work a lot snappier. The pieces are finally coming together!
jQuery lite!
Today was a blast. It was really engaging, and I felt like I gained a better understanding of what jQuery is actually doing. We finished the core of the assignment, selecting HTML elements, modifying the DOM, and making AJAX requests (though it’s really JSON). We even made a cool color-changing weather page that queries a weather API and displays the weather, and the background fades from blue to red depending on the temperature. I feel like these intensive projects will help me be better prepared in the job world.
Today was fun
I think I'm starting to get a handle on this jQuery stuff. Get it?
