"They tied [Greta Thunberg's] hands behind her back with the Israeli flag and made her walk. They didn't give us clean water, they told us to drink from the toilets. We went nearly 40 hours without food. We saw mothers writing their children’s names on the walls. We actually experienced a little bit of what Palestinians go through." - Activist Aycin Kantoglu
"They tortured Greta very severely before our eyes. [...] They dragged little Greta by her hair before our eyes, beat her, and forced her to kiss the Israeli flag. They did everything imaginable to her, as a warning to others" - Journalist Ersin Celik
"Greta Thunberg, a brave woman, is only 22 years old. She was humiliated and wrapped in an Israeli flag and exhibited like a trophy." -Journalist Lorenzo Agostino
"It was a disaster. They treated us like animals." - Singer-songwriter and humanitarian activist, Hazwani Helmi
"We stayed with reverse handcuffs for 5 hours. When we went to prison, they didn't give us water, we had to drink water from the toilet." - Author Said Ercan
"When we showed our reaction, they increased their violence even more. They tried to keep us under constant pressure in prison, waking us throughout the night and changing our locations." - Doctor Osman Cetinkaya
"They treated us like dogs. They left us hungry for three days. They didn’t give us water; we had to drink from the toilet … It was a terribly hot day, and we were all roasting." - TV presenter Ikbal Gurpinar
Hundreds of peaceful activists from 45 countries formed the Global Sumud Flotilla. They had their aid vessels blasted with water canons and boarded by Israeli navy. Their communication systems were jammed, and their ships were unlawfully seized. The activists were then kidnapped and tortured in Israeli prisons against their will.
They were denied clean water and medicine, kept awake, moved from place to place, starved, dehumanized, and had their bodies used to generate Israeli propaganda. They endured this terror for days. This is terrible. And this is only a glimpse of the terror that Palestinians have endured.
My friend Fadel (@fadell-aldany) and his family have been denied access to clean water and starved for months. They have been forcibly displaced over and over again. They are kept awake by flooding and gunfire.
My name is Fadel Al-Dane, a Palestinian from Gaza, my age 23-year-old third-year I… Fadel Aldane needs your support for Help Fadel And His F
The activists detained for attempting to deliver aid have all been released, but Fadel and his family are still trapped under the control of Israel. Fadel cannot simply return to a safe home. His house was destroyed by bombs. He cannot simply be treated for his injuries at a hospital. Gazan healthcare infrastructure is decimated.
Fadel started fundraising to afford travel to a hospital that could remove shrapnel that embedded in his body during the bombing of his family's home. His campaign was verified and shared by @90-ghost and @a-shade-of-blue, and was vetted by @gazavetters (#197 on the gazavetters spreadsheet). That was early summer of 2024. He has not raised near enough.
His family is living out of a damaged tent in an area subject to repeated flooding. Their supplies keep getting ruined, and even worse, everyone has become very ill with the flu in the wet, cold weather. They need desperately to buy a new tent to keep themselves and their food and supplies dry.
They need to get medicine, clean water, and nutritious food so that they can recover. Please help them.
Does anyone understand my pain and what we're going through? We're living in a completely torn tent, and the storm in Gaza is severe. Rainwater leaks in all the time, and worse still, I've been injured for over 450 days, with metal shrapnel still embedded in my body. I'm in critical condition and need urgent surgery, but everyone is ignoring me.
Please wake up and look at me! Please stand by me! I desperately need your donations to buy a new tent and get my surgery. Please don't ignore me!
Please help Fadel, his campaign is the same one vetted by gazavetters he still needs help to afford medicine
Please have some compassion. Remember the last time you were sick or injured. Remember the last time your clothes were soaked through and you were shivering in the cold.
Fadel needs us to share our resources so that he can recover from his illness and get medicine and surgery. I worry for him every day. Please help him.
ever since i learned abt the concept of networking i knew i was going to have to do everything alone and do it the hard way

“You will die, unfortunately.” The hardest words I have ever heard. I am alone here, with none of my family by my side in the hospital. This feels like the end of my life in Gaza.
Since yesterday I can’t stop thinking about death, and about my family shivering in the cold with no shelter. My only dream now is simple: to stay alive and to find a safe place for them. Please donate if you can and speak about us.

making a new post because my last one is outdated. i’m a transmasc with chronic stomach issues that have made it difficult to hold down a job. i’ve been experiencing a flare up and am in need of a couple of stomach meds and some easy foods for when i feel sick.
if you could help at all, even “just” signal boosting by reblogging would mean a lot!

reblogging with a link to a recent post going more into my current health situation. i somehow always forget winter makes everything worse.
My little Qais might die from his injury, and I’m terrified I can’t save him. His tiny body is failing in Gaza’s darkness. Please help us before it’s too late.
When Qais collapsed, I was terrified to see support disappear. His tiny body still holds shrapnel, and he’s getting worse. Please donate and speak for us—we have no other hope.

Please refrain from accusing Gazan Twitter accounts of being ‘non-Gazan’ just because they show different locations in their profiles. Many journalists in Gaza have to rely on eSIMs to stay connected, and countless people there depend on outsiders to help amplify their voices and campaigns.
Please refer to Lifeline4Gaza for vetted campaigns
lifeline4gaza gathers links to existing chuffed & gofundme appeals from families, individuals & grassroots community efforts in Gaza.
adding to this since people are saying esims don't change your device's location: they don't, but esims do change your IP address and it's possible that's what twitter's new location feature is using to track people
CRITICAL EMERGENCY: CHILD IN COMA
6-year-old Souad has been anemic since birth, and starvation and disease due to the IOF assault have caused her severe health complications.
Today she fell unconscious and was admitted to the hospital. She is now comatose and fluid is building up around her brain. Their campaign has made very little progress since it was created, and they urgently need funds for her treatment. We have set a short-term goal:
€1,014 out of €1,276 EUR—updated 1 Nov.
Need to raise: €262 EUR (about $303 usd)
I am Alaa Al-Hanjouri, 32 years old. I used to work as a teacher, teaching children and carrying their dreams on my shoulders... but the war
On the subject of vetting: verified by Yahya Al-Habil and family, Souad’s father Alaa Hanjouri is Yahya’s cousin. Yahya’s family’s campaign has been shared by 90-ghost, @gaza-evacuation-funds here, and vouched for by relatives Ayah Mohammed and Noha Ibrahim, whose campaigns are vetted on nabulsi and el-shab-hussein’s verified campaign master list. I am confident that Souad’s need is both legitimate and dire.
**reminder that $1 usd = about €0.86 EUR. For example, $25 usd = about €22 EUR. Currency converters are available online for free so you can calculate the equivalent amount of dollars you want to send**
Dying with untreated cancer is beyond inhumane!
A MOTHER. A WIFE. FIGHTING AN AGGRESSIVE CANCER IN GAZA!
URGENT EVACUATION NEEDED.
My friend, @abdulrahman-family needs your help. Their mother needs an urgent cancer treatment abroad. Support their WHYDONATE CAMPAIGN, since the current cancer treatment, which they are paying for in Gaza is insufficient. Don't look away!
If you can provide proof that you have donated 30€ or more, I will draw a digital sketch portrait for you. Please message me for it.
Their campaign is vetted by @gazavetters, number on the list is ( #642 ) @90-ghost
This is where Eman and her family currently live. In a tent on the sand.
As of today it has been 6 days since anyone has donated to their fundraiser.
Please donate and share!
Eman’s fundraiser is verified #12 on el-shab-hussien’s list.
Please donate!
Eman is now packed in with her sister’s family who fled from the north. 11 people. In this small space.
They need food, they need medicine, they need support! Please donate!
There haven’t been any donations in 8 days as of 11/25. Please donate to Eman and her family!
I can vouch personally for the validity of this campaign, as well as @gazavetters (#213 on the list).
They urgently, URGENTLY need your donation.
A reblog, that’s all it really takes. There are campaigns on here with tens of thousands of notes — how do you think they got there?
By everyone scrolling past? Complain about morality OCD and compassion burnout all you want. My friend Zeina’s family survived the bombing, but they are not safe.
Even after the so-called ceasefire, their lives are still hanging by a thread. At any moment I am not speaking to Zeina, it is possible that she has no food, no shelter, no safety this is what “after the war” looks like in Gaza.
Think about living with ruins instead of homes, fear instead of stability, and the echo of everything they lost. There’s no “getting used to” that as your constant reality.
So when I ask you to reblog this post, think about the lack of effort it would take to flick your thumb and realize it could still be saving the lives of 14 people, affected by destruction and trauma far beyond what you could possibly imagine on your own.
