Recently been going through some very rough times. My marriage is ending and dealing with that while going through quarantine has been really hard. It's been a while since I've used Tumblr and just thought I'd use it to escape for a bit. Definitely a lot has changed around here. A lot of the people I used to really love chatting with have since moved on. If any of y'all are out there that used to enjoy chatting with me, don't hesitate to send me a chat. Juan Travieso at Talon Gallery.

Currently virtually on view at Talon Gallery in Portland, Oregon is a brand new body of work by artist Juan Travieso.  Travieso paints a natural world both fractured and vibrant, exploring biodiversity and human impact via semi-abstract portraits of various species of plants, birds and animals. His choice of color is always striking and in recent works has been centering the subjects on a black background which provides an intense contrast with the brilliant hues.
