With this Hot Margherita Pizza recipe, you can add some heat to the classic Margherita pizza. Adding fresh basil, minced garlic, red chili peppers, and a little red pepper flakes to your pizza will make it more interesting!
Ingredients: 1 pizza dough ball. 1/2 cup tomato sauce. 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese. 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves. 2-3 cloves garlic, minced. 1-2 red chili peppers, thinly sliced. 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1 tablespoon olive oil.
Instructions: Set your oven to 475F 245C and put a baking sheet or pizza stone inside to heat up. On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to the thickness you want. Put the rolled-out dough on a piece of parchment paper so it's easy to move to the oven. Evenly spread the tomato sauce over the pizza dough, making sure to leave a little space around the edges for the crust. Add the chopped mozzarella cheese on top of the tomato sauce. Put the chopped garlic, red chili peppers, and fresh basil leaves on top of the cheese. Add salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to the pizza. Spread the olive oil on top of the pizza. Carefully move the pizza from the parchment paper to the pizza stone or baking sheet that has been heated up in the oven. Put it in the oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and a little browned. Take the hot margherita pizza out of the oven and let it sit for one minute before cutting it. This is a spicy take on the classic Margherita pizza. Serve it hot and enjoy!
