Natalia Dyer poses backstage at the Zadig & Voltaire Fashion Show in NYC on February 12th, 2018
alex-nautilus:
“Yeah that’s probably what will happen again if you drink that. I saw some guys spiking it earlier and they were kind of heavy handed with the liquor so I would watch out with all that if I were you.” Alex’s arms were crossed as she leaned against the wall, watching all the party goers. She wasn’t even sure why she was at something like this. It wasn’t her usual style in the least and they were no longer on the Isle. She didn’t have to pretend to give a shit about these things any longer, but still she did. In some warped need to not be picked on again, she was falling into line with expectations just as she had done before. “Pretty sure there are still untainted cans of soda in the kitchen if you want one.”
Finley looked up wrinkling her nose as she looked back down at the punch. “I think the beer will work for the time being.” she offered a small smile before moving to the keg. The one thing she knew she could trust. Pouring herself a glass she moved to where the girl stood. “I don’t think we’ve met.” she sipped at the edge of the cup for a moment. “I’m Finley,” the brunette offered the other girl her hand. “You look like you’d probably prefer to be somewhere else right now.” she chuckles a bit. Knowing the feeling all too well.
littlerileyfitz:
Riley’s mouth dropped open in shock when Finley said she didn’t feel like Buttercup fit her. Honestly, Riley thought that each girl fit their designated Powerpuff girl perfectly. Finley was the most tomboyish out of the three, and Riley figured if any of them would ever throw a punch it would be her. She just seemed like the most kickass too, what with her father literally being a God and all. “Well I think you’re the perfect Buttercup, you’re both total badasses. Plus you have the short hair and it works perfectly. ” Smiling in thanks as Finley moved over so Riley wasn’t flush up against the obnoxious couple, she scooted a tad closer. “Oh the party is really fun! Way better then the first one I went to, but that’s probably because I have you and Amelia here. Last time I was all by myself and I just felt out of place, you know?” She really was thankful for the new friendships she had forged in the past few weeks. Honestly, had it not been for Finley and Amelia, she might not have come to the party at all.“Have you seen anything interesting? I bet this is like the perfect place to really see all the action.” Looking around the room, Riley noticed a few girls in a corner talking very animatadly, and she subtly pointed towards them. “What do you think is going on with them?”
“I mean I think Buttercup fits, I just.. I miss my pants.” she chuckled a bit. She couldn’t help but smile at the blonde. She was happy that Amelia and Herself could make coming worth something. She’s been the girl with very little friends to hang out with. It was never a fun experience. Being able to change that for someone else, well it made her happy. “Yeah, parties are a lot better if you come with friends. I was lucky last year I met Amelia and then Han was here so I had some people.” she offered with a little nod of her head. She followed Riley’s gaze around the room. Shrugging slightly. “Nothing too interesting yet,” she admitted. It was kind of a let down she low key loved the drama frat parties brought. You know as long as it didn’t involve her. “Um.. they’re probably trying to concoct a plan to get the future king in bed.” she chuckled a little to herself. “Or their fighting over who is the designated friend.. that is very likely too.”
littlerileyfitz:
A deep sigh left Riley’s mouth as she collapsed onto a lumpy couch in an attempt to rest her feet and get her head to stop spinning. Next time she went to one of these parties, she needed to make sure Amelia or Finley let her know what drinks to keep away from. Speaking of the latter, Riley noticed Finley just so happened to be on the couch next to her. “HI!” She greeted, waving somewhat obviously since she was literally inches away from the girl. “Okay, can we talk about how these costumes are just super cute. Yours look amazing on you. And you should definitely consider dying your hair black for real because it suits you.” It brought out her blue eyes and pale skin. “You almost look like you could be Snow White’s daughter instead of Hercules.” SHe said with a giggle, the laugh cutting short when she was shoved by the people on the other side of her. An obnoxious couple that was practically devouring each other at the moment. “Um, so how was your night been so far?”
@finleymelagos
Finley was working with a nice light buzz. She didn’t intend to get too drunk but being a little floaty made the party that more entertaining. She was slightly zoned out when she felt the couch shift. A small smile slipping on to her lips, “Hey.” she shifted so that she could face Riley more. The blonde seemed like she could be a fun person to call her friend. So far she liked her, she also got points because Amelia was a fan. Pushing the thoughts aside she chuckled lightly. “They are definitely something,” she looked down at the bright green dress she had on. “Yours fits you want better then mine does. You got that cute blonde bubbly girl vibe.” the statement was made in a friendly manner. Her hand lifted unconsciously to mess with her hair. “I don’t know if I can commit to black full time.” Her attention was grabbed by the couple next to them. A brow raising a bit as she shifted away making more room for Riley to move closer to her. “It's been alright, just kind of been people watching and sipping.” she held up her glass with a little grin. “How about you? Enjoying your first Greek Row Halloween party?”
@alex-nautilus
Even if the Halloween part wasn’t as nearly lavish and big as the Royal Ball had been. It still had the same effect on Finley. She’d spent most of the time getting ready wondering if she should go at all. Though she didn’t want to let Riley and Amelia down. They couldn’t really be the Powderpuff Girls with just to the two of them. She also didn’t completely hate the outfit she’d put together. Even if it was a dress. At the end of it all, she decided it would be fun. And she could at least enjoy getting to hang out with her friends. So there she was, wondering about the Nu house. Dodging a few bodies here and there. She figured she’d loosen up a bit with a drink. That always seemed to make her just a bit more sociable. Finding the very impressive collection of alcohol she noticed a punch bowl. “Do we know whats in this,” she asked, looking up at the nearest person. “Last time I drank anything out of a punch bowl I lost like six hours of my life..” slipped from her lips with a chuckle.

Evan extended his arm out to offer up the empty seat perpendicular to him. When did the library get so busy? It had only seemed like moments ago that there was practically anyone here but it seemed that it exploded in activity while he had been lost in his work. This girl didn’t seem like someone that he recognized from the Isle, which meant that he needed to get himself acquainted and quickly. “Don’t worry, it was all my bad. Feel free to take it. I’m Evan, by the way. I don’t think we’ve met before.”
Finley offered a small smile as she settled into her seat. Taking a moment to arrange her books as he introduced himself. “I don’t think we have either.” she chimed in a friendly tone. She’d been doing her best to remember all the new face she’d come a crossed. His definitely didn’t ring any bells. “I’m Finley, its nice to meet you.” reaching across the table she offered him her hand. “I’m going to guess you’re from the isle. There are many Auradon kids I don’t at least know the face off.”

Amelia: So long as you like me more than Han, that's all that matters.... you do, right? 👀 I mean, you don't have to choose favorites, blah blah, but like, come on, this between only me and you, honey.
Amelia: The parties the frats throw do get rather tedious after a while. It's like, we get it, boys. You're the most masculine man in the room just because you can get a ball in a cup. Color me unimpressed.
Amelia: Don't you worry, Fin. I was well taken care of that night. Really, really well taken care of. After you and I parted ways, I met up with Baron, and well.... one thing led to another.
Amelia: Also, please tell me it won't be the last time we'll see you in a dress. You looked divine, everyone could hardly keep their eyes off you. 🤗
Finley: Well as long as it between us. You're my favorites of all favorites. I meant what I said at the ball. Amelia, you're the most important person to me. :)
Finley: Hey.. I actually like beer pong. :P but you're not wrong.
Finley: Oh... like... //things// ???
Finley: I can't promise anything but if another occasion arises where I may wear a dress.
( text ft. finley 👯💫 )
Amelia: I'll put all my trust in you until you learn to do the same. I definitely wouldn't trust half of the people in this school the way I trust you because you're my absolute bestie - and there's a reason to that, you know? 💅
Amelia: UGH, right?! Like, come on, get an original idea. But I suppose I prefer any sort of costumed theme over none at all. Then I can plan my outfit accordingly.
Amelia: As you should. 💓 I might've gotten a bit worse after we parted ways... I woke up with the WORSE hangover, ever. I spent the entire next day in bed, rewatching the entire first season of Keeping Up with Kronk. I can hardly remember what happened, but I do remember the way my night ended the day of the ball.
Finley: Aww I appreciate that. And feel the same. Well, I put trust into Han but that is different.
Finley: I would probably just prefer no parties. But that's because I don't like them lol.
Finley: I knew I shouldn't have left you. I pretty much went back to my dorm and passed out. Dress and all. It was an interesting sight the next morning. I had to retire a pillow case.
evan-tremaine:
The library was honestly the perfect place to scope out potential targets. Yes, the goal was obviously to find someone who had money to marry, but having intelligence was a personal preference on Evan’s list. What was the point of marrying someone for money if they couldn’t hold a conversation with him? Sitting at one of the wooden tables with a book open and a notebook next to it while his headphones were plugged into his phone, Evan would mimic reading out of the book before scanning the room, jotting down notes of those around him. After scribbling a quick note about the redhead who walked in front of him (easy mark?), Evan felt the presence of someone walking up to the table. With a voice muffled by the music pounding through his ear buds, Evan’s brows furrowed as he tugged one of the white headphones out of his ear before turning to the source of the voice. “I’m sorry, what was that?,” Evan asked, hoping the other person wouldn’t mind repeating themselves.
It was oddly packed in the library. Finley figured it was just everyone catching up on readings from the weekend. Whatever it was, there weren’t any open seats to be found. She was almost overly excited when she finally found one across from someone. Coming up from behind she hadn’t even noticed the headphones in his ears. A small smile played on her lips. “Oh sorry I didn’t realize you were listening to music.” she hugged her books and notebook a little to her chest. “I was just asking if I could possibly join you. There’s a shortage of open seats.” she looked around for a moment before looking back at him. “I promise I won’t bother you I just have to do some reading and take notes. But I totally get it if you wanna be alone though...”
odettethana:
The moment Finley opened the door it was like she opened up the floodgates as tears started rushing down Odette’s face. She didn’t know what it was but she couldn’t stop them. God she was lucky Finley was so gracious. Who else would take someone in like this when they hardly knew each other? “I…I” She started, but felt like she couldn’t breathe. It was like a weight was pressing down on her chest and she didn’t have the strength to remove it. The brunette opened her mouth to speak but no words came out, instead all that did was a broken breath. Maybe she really wasn’t breathing, the thought entered her mind and she closed her eyes for a moment to focus on what she have been involuntary. Once she finally got air into her lungs and let it out, she opened her eyes and looked at Finley. “Nate and I. We.. I don’t know, I guess it was a fight. We just…” She trailed off, her head sinking as she covered her face with her hands.
It broke Finley’s heart to see Odette in such a state. Yes, they didn’t really know one another. But that didn’t matter. Odette was hurting, Finley didn’t like to see anyone hurting. She guided the girl towards her room. Figuring that her cousin would appreciate the privacy. Even if no one was home. They could very well walk in at any moment. She made a note of what the girl said about her brother. Part of Finley wanted to call him up right then and there to ask him what the hell he did to his sister. But that won’t help Odette. “Here, Sit down,” she instructed once they were finally in the safety of Finley’s room. The brunette quickly grabbed the box of tissues off her desk and placed them near Odette. “I want you to take a few deep breaths for me. Then just start slow,” she tried to help the girl calm down a bit. She wanted to know what happened but she didn’t want Odette to pass out or anything.

Amelia: Isn't she the sweetest? I see a lot of potential with her if she'd only learn to trust herself - and me, duh. Of course you can definitely be Buttercup, which leaves Riley to be Bubbles, and it's all too suiting for her personality, tbh. I know I can convince her to agree next time I see her.
Amelia: Yay! I'm so excited. I'll just put off my Cher Horowitz costume idea for a later date, though if we know anything about how uncreative people can be, there'll definitely be another costume party I can rock her outfit in soon. 💁♀️
Amelia: You simply must save me a dance that night, okay? I'm going to try and not get as tipsy as I did during the homecoming ball, haha. That was a fun night, though.
Finley: Learning trust in one's self is a hard skill to muster. I'm still working on that one. But she seems like she'd be a great friend to have. So I'm excited. And good. I couldn't imagine being bubbles. lol
Finley: You're not wrong. If its anything last year you'll get like five chances for a costume.
Finley: Of course. You know I always have room for you on my dance card. I don't think you were that bad. I mean we were both a little tipsy. But it was fun. I had a lot of fun. :)

Amelia: Don't I always? 🤗
Amelia: You know Riley Fitzherbert? I've taken her under my wing since school started and she's been scrambling for a costume, too, so why not all three of us go for something that'd be fitting to all of us?
Amelia: The Powerpuff Girls! It's a classic group costume idea, plus we'd all look super cute. I'd be Blossom, of course.
Finley: You usually do. lol
Finley: Oh yeah, I think I've talked to her a few times. she seems really nice. I'd be okay with going with a trio costume.
Finley: hmmm... I get to be Buttercup right?
( text ft. finley 👯💫 )
Amelia: Hey, doll. 💞 Have you decided what you're going to be for Sig Nu's Halloween party just yet?
Finley: Hey, and no I haven't. You have any ideas??
odettethana:
After her botched run in with her brother, Odette was oddly emotional. Normally she was more closed off to feelings but something about being told to ‘just go’ by the one person who meant the world to her caused tears to well in her eyes. She wandered around campus for awhile, trying to see through the tears while not really sure where she was going.
Somehow she ended up at the Theta Pi house. She knew Finley was a member and though it seemed a little too out of place for her liking, she found herself walking up the steps of the house. She didn’t have many girl friends, or friends for that matter. She had Hook but she was sure if she showed up crying at his place, he’d be out for Nate’s blood and that wasn’t what she wanted. She didn’t quite know what she wanted to be honest. But she needed someone around. Someone to listen to her. And it seemed as though Finley was her best bet.
She quickly wiped away a few stray tears before she knocked on the door of the sorority house. She pressed her lips into a fine line as she crossed her arms over her chest, glancing around her surroundings to make sure no one was in sight. She just hoped that her cousin was home, if she wasn’t she didn’t know what she would do.
@finleymelagos
It was a very odd night at the Theta house. mostly everyone was gone. Leaving Finley to her own devices for most of it. Not that she minded. She had plenty of work to do. She was in the middle of making herself a cup of tea when she heard the knock at the door. She didn’t really think much of it until she remembered no one else was home. Turning off the oven she headed to the door.
She was pretty surprised to see Odette standing on the other side. They had talked about getting to know one another. But she figured the girl would have texted or something before coming over. What surprised her, even more, was the fact that her cousin was crying. “Hey..” she instantly moved to put her arm around the girl’s shoulders. Pulling her to her side as she guided her inside. “What happened?” concerned laced Finley’s words.
thehanli:
The night had gone on in a seeming blur, his parents parading him to and fro for a better part of the night to have him say hello to old friends. It wasn’t so much a chore but a task he wanted to get over rather quickly since he had his own friends to entertain, but if there was anything Han had learned over the years, it was to respect his elders – if they weren’t total dickheads, at least. If they were, well… he had free rein to handle the situation he saw best, which tended to be to avoid them at all costs. The last thing he ever wanted was for someone to kill his vibe, and those dickheads? Major vibe killers. He’d sooner sit through a lecture with that one professor whose voice was so monotonous that for his first year at AU, Han made it a point to sit in the very back corner so he could either put his head down and fall asleep or try to make his fellow classmates laugh by pulling funny faces for the entire hour, usually resulting in him to be sent out for ‘disrupting the lecture’.
But that was besides the point - he smiled and was the perfect gentleman all night until he managed to get away from his parents’ side and then came the real fun. He still had the faintest headache to show for last night’s shenanigans, and when Finley hit him up, he was more than game to get his grub on, especially with those infamous beignets. When he walked in, he saw her seated at their usual booth and he smiled in acknowledgement before walking over.
“Excuse me,” he got real low as he approached her, as if whispering something that was a secret, “I don’t mean to interrupt, but I’m looking for my friend Finley. Last seen in a gown and heels. She’s about yea high.” He gestured well below her normal height, almost below his hips before he continued, “I’m afraid she was abducted by princesses last night, so if you see her, can you tell her her extremely rad, jaw-droppingly handsome friend is looking for her?” Of course, he was only giving her crap, laughing all the while as he slid into the seat across from her.
At first Finley's brow knitted together as he leaned in to speak to her. But they quickly relaxed as a smile took over her features. Rolling her eyes she laughed. “I am not that short.” she protested kicking him lightly under the table once he was in place. Making sure not to actually hurt him. “And you’re not that handsome.” was added in a playful tone as she sat back in her spot. They’d only briefly gotten to see each other at the ball. Most of her time was wrapped up in her parents and Amelia. So she was beyond curious about the rest of his night. She wondered if it would be safe to tell him about the kiss she’d shared with her best friend. “So what kind of trouble did you get into last night?”

nate: so don't worry and don't beat yourself up about it and it will be fine. not like the professor is going to hit you if you fuck up, right?
finley: god no, no one hits people for making mistake around here. And I guess you're right. I just have a hard time with that sometimes.

nate: so what if you're wrong. nothing happens here, does it?
