Pale green eyes shoot open only to be greeted with the uncomfortable and lonely feeling of midnight. If it weren’t for the pale rays of sunlight shooting through the open sleeping quarters then she was positive it would’ve been pitch black. At least she was able to find some comfort in the moonlight, but that still didn’t override the strong feeling of anxiety that was starting to overcome her. Chest tightening, breathing becoming shallow, and eyes tearing up she could feel herself on the edge of yet another breakdown. The images of her nightmare deeply ingrained into her fragile mind. Jolting up quickly, she was met with the sight she assumed she would see; everyone else sound asleep and resting peacefully in their beds while she was doing the complete opposite. Swallowing back her sobs, jade hues searched quickly for a source of desperately needed comfort. Dani’s eyes scanned right over where Christian was resting and instinctively landed on Finley. Oh, thank god she had invited him along! Making her way out of the small bed her feet pitter-pattered against the ground over to the individual’s bed. What Christian’s reaction might be when he woke up and saw them snuggled up together and the hostility that would follow slipped her mind as she climbed into the bed, making herself the little spoon. Almost all those negative thoughts and feelings left her body once her back was pressed into Fin’s chest. All of those emotions managed to leave once she felt his arms wrap protectively around her torso and pull her body closer to his. She was so close that she could feel the warmth radiating off his body. It was comforting. More than anything Christian had done in the entirety of their relationship. Finley made her feel held. He was her home.
