CSH Debut — Senna & Finney
Name: Senna (true name: Sen ya Kita)
Species: Human (Rahd)
Lore: Senna is a 12-year-old girl who grew up as a ward of the state in Norton Manor (a group home in the Northeastern US). After a school field trip goes awry, Senna is visited by a Quirister and told that she is the secret true heir to O-Tikkanggan — a rainforest kingdom located on an Earthlike planet called Rahd. Initially doubtful, she joins him and comes through the Braid, fighting off creatures in her journey to the capital. Unfortunately, when she finally reaches Tikké, the royal family rejects her, and, heartbroken, she decides to return to Earth. Somehow, however, the Braid doesn’t take the two of them back home — rather, it spits them out onto a mega-cruise liner in the middle of the ocean…
Abilities:
Physical Attributes: Senna is small, quick, and light on her feet, which makes her a difficult target. Her natural talent for dodging and weaving has been reinforced by months of survival in the wilderness of Rahd.
Swordplay: When Finney gifted her a piece of his light to serve as her weapon, the light took the shape of a rapier. It’s Senna’s most treasured possession, and she handles it with more grace than you’d expect from a tween with a giant needle. In combat, she mostly utilises destreza, but will sometimes lunge or attempt to overwhelm an opponent with quick strikes if the opportunity arises.
Battle Sense: Senna has a sharp, analytical mind and is always taking in information about terrain, body language, enemy intent, and environmental advantages. Her time on Rahd has made her an expert in dispatching large, forest-dwelling, lizard-brained things in particular, so she probably should have been dropped into Jurassic Park rather than the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
Disabilities: While on Earth, Senna develops asthma-like symptoms due to the changes in atmosphere. She also tires more easily.
Origin: Isekai’d stowaway. She’s technically a native of Earth, so nothing is too unfamiliar to her, but she has just spent more than four months in Rahd on her journey to Tikké, so she’s still in self-preservation mode.
Appearance: Senna stands at 140 cm (4 feet, 7 inches). She has warm, mid-brown skin and large brown eyes somewhat reminiscent of a cat’s. Her hair is a lustrous black with choppily cut bangs, tied in two chest-length braids for convenience. Although her frame is slight, her muscles are well-developed from exercise. While humans on Rahd don't have races the way Earth, she would probably be identified as some kind of Southeast Asian.
Points of Tension:
Senna is extremely wary of grown-ups due to being so highly controlled by her foster parents, social workers, group home staff, etc. Unless you happen to be a Quirister named Finney, she may well tell you one thing to your face to appease you, only to run in the other direction and do the opposite the moment your back is turned.
She might have a panic attack if separated from Finney for more than a day or two.
She’s 12 years old. She’s been neglected for most of her life, and she just got rejected by her biological family. She doesn’t have the best emotional regulation skills and may be especially reactive/explosive in response to setbacks and frustration. This may escalate to physical violence (hitting, biting, kicking — though she usually won’t draw her sword).
She can also be blunt in the way only children can be, and she sometimes does it on purpose knowing you can’t do anything about it.
Shipping? Happy to discuss it if you’re roleplaying a girl (preferred) or boy around Senna’s age :DD

Name: “Finney”
Species: Quirister (Boundless)
Lore: Quiristers are beings made of music and light that (usually) resemble Earth angels. They operate like cells of their godhead, the Host, each playing its designated role. There are four kinds of Quiristers: the Shepherds, who recruit new devotees to the Host; the Almighty, who vanquish the Host’s enemies; the True, who enforce the Host’s Law and Scripture among all who follow It; and the Boundless, who demonstrate the Host’s mercy, generosity, and lovingkindness to humans through miracles and gifts.
Finney is a Boundless who was originally assigned to take Senna (as an infant) through the Braid to the human world, but he grew invested in her and vowed to help her regain her throne to O-Tikkanggan. For the reasons outlined above, it didn’t quite work out, but as if this day couldn’t get any worse, the Braid didn’t take them back to Norton Manor, either…
Abilities:
Flight: Finney’s wings are elliptical, allowing him to manoeuvre easily between obstacles in flight. However, he does have to do an awful lot of flapping to get lift, and he doesn’t fly particularly fast once he’s airborne.
Carmina Nostra: Quirister magic. Spells are sung and manipulate the Quirister’s own light. As a Boundless, Finney is capable of producing items (such as Senna’s rapier) and small to moderate miracles (accelerated healing, warding against damage, reversing curses).
Quirister Physiology: Functionally immortal, unless the ship becomes home to a rabid demon and/or an Almighty with a tuning fork. Finney is also capable of disguising himself — as a regular human, without wings or halo, or as an orange ringneck dove.
General knowledge of Rahd
Combat: Finney is trained in most of the weapons on Rahd, and even some of the swords from Earth — trained in the way a recreational athlete is, anyway. There’s no saying how he’d face off against someone who thinks weapons should be used as weapons.
Origin: Isekai’d stowaway. A native of Rahd, although he’s been to Earth multiple times to check on Senna (granted, he was a bird those times). Has been inseparable from her for the past few months.
Appearance: Finney stands at 175 cm (5 feet, 9 inches). Pale with even paler hair and wings, he almost appears to be made of light itself. Indeed, when it catches the sun, his hair refracts it back in every colour on the visible spectrum to stunning effect. Finney’s eyes — the only divergence in a palette of creams, golds, and whites — are a startling blue, as if reflecting the sky of another, more primaeval world. Something of that world still sleeps in the Earth’s oceans, deep beneath the waves.
Boundless prefer to take forms that are comforting to humans. To that end, Finney is shaped kind of like your friendly local librarian, and his voice is pleasant and soft. Like the rest of him, his wings are fluffy, and they smell of whatever is most nostalgic and/or comforting to whoever is burying their face in his feathers. On Earth, someone would most likely identify him as White.
Points of Tension: None. Passive and patient in most conflict situations, takes most things in stride.
Shipping? Not in any traditional sense; he’s functionally aro/ace. He does have the equipment (whatever equipment you’d like), so it’s possible, but… it will come secondary to his mission to make Senna king, y’know.
