happy 9th birthday to my longest lasting oc, neil -- and by extension, the story of demonkeepers as a whole! maybe for the big double digit anniversary i'll do something real special and everyone will get to experience the story that runs around nonstop in my brain

just realized today that i haven't posted in five months and so i wanted to give an update (tw for grief talk)

long story short, my father passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly within 12 hours of me getting home from being gone for nearly two months. i didn't even get to talk to him or hug him or anything before he passed, and he was my biggest supporter in my life, so my world has been. completely torn apart, to say the least.

these past two months have been a complete blur and while some days are better than others, i barely have the strength to function somedays, much less even think of drawing. who knows when i'll feel up to it again. i've been encouraged in my therapy sessions to create as an outlet for my grief, but that's much easier said than done.

i know i don't owe anyone anything, but i guess i just wanted to explain why i've been gone for so long. i know i'll get back into art eventually but right now all i can do is get through life one day at a time until i learn how to live again
