Welcome To Silly Shenanigans!

Hello to anyone who happens to see this- I am Grem ( @asmollgremlin / @asmollestgremlin) or by my chosen pen name, Kioria. I'm simply just a young writer trying to explore their world through silly and abrupt ideas, hoping to get far enough into making a solid world and make or get novel ideas whether it's about the past, present or future of my world.

The blog would be focused on the current generation of my fictional characters in the world called Agiaeli- though other characters whether old, dead, alive, and whatnot can appear. I'm just centering it around them since amongst the three generational timeline I made, it's the Fire Generation (the 2nd) I focus a lot about. Too much actually.

Though I'm not just gonna be yapping about my characters (which will be added), but also general worldbuilding. Yes, this is an entire excuse to do all that so I won't have to bother a friend over on a messaging platform. Additionally, there may or may not be AUs or divergent timelines because why not!

It was dark. All there was is darkness. I couldn't see anything. I couldn't hear anything. I couldn't feel anything.

At least feel anything else other than guilt.

Memories of something began flashing through my head. Memories of what I had done seven years ago. These were memories I was proud of- or that's what I think.

Was I really proud of the slaughter I did? Was I actually happy doing them? If I was, then I wouldn't be feeling this, right?

But I am. I was proud. I was happy. I didn't bear a single shred of guilt for everything I did. I even admit to them. I agreed in the first place to this power.

And yet...

...

I just want it all to stop. I want these memories- these flashes to stop.

They hurt.

They hurt a lot.

I can feel something flowing from my eyes and down my face. Are they tears? Am I crying? Crying over something I was "proud" of?

I'm starting to really question if I really enjoyed doing all those things... if what I was back then really me. Haha, it's silly...

"Why are you doubting yourself? Why do you think it wasn't you- what gave you that idea?"

"Well I'll say it here and now: it was you. You did all of that. And you were very proud might I add."

I think I just had the most biggest advantage in getting away with my first person narrative Quote: "A patient with left prefrontal lesions are characterized with disorganization and impoverished narratives." <- this is under the language section of impairments for TBI/CHI patients If this is the case... then oh man... the messed up (not really messed up but still) things I can do with this. I'm already a dumbass in things, and now this? Field day I tell you- maybe giving bro brain damage... wasn't a bad idea?

^I still have to do the occasional switch to third person. Majority of the it will be in 1-POV, but there are times it switches to let the audience know something that the main character will not... in a long run

Shit man, the more I get into researching TBI, the more I read from this book that's from the 90's (ofc I'm comparing old and new info for accuracy), the more I realize: God. This... this fucking sucks! I mean it's already given but... damn the areas brain damage affect are CRAZY

Dude, Karl is literally going through some BAD shit the past 7 years- at least he kinda had his brain healed up so it wont drag down the suicide mission that was forcefully given to him in order to kill him in the first place.

As much as I want to dog on Insanity for the type of shit he did, I think that because he's a separate entity residing in him (therefore not having brain damage), what he's doing to 'help' Karl is actually good because- financially? Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah nooooooooooooooo. N-noooooooooo... nuh uh...

I mean other things yes- but god damn are decisions affected badly. But to count the list of the things that are mostly affected... there's memory, intelligence, attention/information processing, language functioning, perception functioning and executive functioning and maybe a few more from my research last time

...if Insanity and the other people weren't there, I think, by himself, he would've died a second time after maybe a week or so.

me in my head rewriting my magic system still using the same inspo but different shi or sumthin

the main idea that's in my head at the moment is that magic circles do exist, and they're where magic come from. tho its more like... mmm... just yeah. magic isnt innate to mortals, say for some creatures but they were made with magic, meaning its innate to them

the magic circle have different components like its an equation... sadly enough- i guess this is why they call mages insane hahaha. and like an equation you can change the variables and all that to get a different outcome. and there are some variables that stay the same depending on the type of magic

to get it to work, the mage must give a part of themselves to activate it. i mean since it isnt innate, and feels more... idk like a trade, its only natural for the person asking to give something in return for power. and to by pass cheat methods, human blood is the only thing that can work. but that blood must be someone who has an aptitude (i think thats the word) for magic, like actively have mana or something so no innocent guy gets harvested for his blood.

you can write the magic circle anywhere, but the main place to draw is paper. paper bc then you can place it on a wand then activate it, and the spell kinda becomes engraved to the wand? idk how to explain it- but the idea i had is that after drawing, the person can place it either on their wand or themselves and then activate it with their blood. the circle then kinda melts on to the object/person underneath them and therefore grants them the ability of what they drew or yada yada

if you give your body the spell/magic, itll have drawbacks bc its part of you now compared to a wand which lowk... i mean the wand suffers not you so i mean its good. idk why you wanna engrave magic in yourself- tho if its modification then ig???? like???

I looked up from my cell to see a man. He had black hair and eyes, he looked to be a year younger than me. He seemed to have a worried expression... concerned about something. Have I seen him before?

...

Oh right, the trial earlier in the day. If I remember correctly, he was one of the people in the stand, the jury. I never got their names. But why is it that... I know him from way before? Way before I ever got caught and trialed? Almost as if... we were friends in a way.

"..."

"Mark..."

I froze hearing that name. If there was anything I could remember clearly from my past, it's my name. That god forsaken name.

"I don't go by that anymore," I said bitterly.

"...right, you go by something else now..," the man said with dejection.

Why do I feel like I did something wrong by saying that- it's the truth. I go by something else... but I guess I don't mind being called by my real name.

"It's fine. Use the name, I don't mind." He seemed to look a bit better when I said that. It brings me... relief.

Silence took hold for a while, then...

"So, Mark, you really don't remember... anything?"

"Suppose so. I can only remember tidbits of a certain event, but even those are foggy-"

"So you don't remember me? Us?"

"...I don't." Right here, right now, I want to ask what his name is, but it doesn't seem appropriate. I don't think I'll even remember it down the line. But I still have to.

"...Who are you again?"

what if in some part during the first quarter, in the trial part, the trial took two days

the first was the= what the fuck moment. how are you alive, why dont you remember anything

the second is= ok. we made a consecutive decision (-one guy who just rlly wanted you dead no matter what) that you'll be spared from capital punishment. not bc we believe youre innocent, youre not, you admitted that. but because we have not yet found a way to kill you in this circumstance... in the meantime have a suicidal case that might get the job done or at least allow us to gauge how we can kill you

i mean look if you had a partial immortal being to your disposal, you wouldnt use them for several suicide missions? come on. booooooooring

another tidbit, during the night, after the first trial, when everyone was shocked that he didnt remember anything, karl had, once again, the same dreams he had for the past 7 years. i mean atp, you cant consider them dreams. i mean first off hes dead so he doesnt really need it, second, i humbly believe the spell only reactivates vital parts of the brain needing to survive like sense and memories- anything else probably not needed. meaning that what he sees are flashes of his memories

again he doesnt recognize them bc of forever pta, and he cant get them treated. but again maybe theres chance- they just hadnt found a good enough healer..? idk magic type shi man what else do you want me to do. i can be logical but cant i have some fun :(

anyway during the night he gets the dream-memories and its just mainly abt the war he waged. but this time... lowk... two people's faces seem clear. and they kinda so happen to be two ppl who were part of his trial as juries

magic most of the time has no grounding to reality- esp if it has smth to do with conjuration magic. one of the hardest magic to master bc u urself need to be creative, and the cost of it is big depending on what youre trying to do. anything else? a bit of fair game but regardless, all magic comes with a cost. magic isnt smth innate to humans- it was gifted, with only few in society wielding it compared to the gods and magical creatures. and bc of that cost there r risks to casting some magic.. the biggest one being to ur life. tho u need to give your "life" to cast magic in the first place so i mean its a fair trade

i need to go small bc i might start explaining way more but basically all im saying is that magic comes at a cost bc it isnt innate to humans, and id say it would get worse esp with the field of conjuration. to conjure is to create, and the world existed bc it was conjured by magic (aka god). but bc it isnt innate and theres a limit, itll cost a lot than a god bc they were born with it and therefore kinda dont have the limitations as it does to humans

the main example (and prime) idea of this is with.. uh.. a spell that lets u conjure bird wings. ignore the fact it may be a reference btw cough cou- to use them u ofc need to conjure the wings and use it- but over time youll find yourself feeling more tired. the cost of summoning and using them is your own energy- i mean makes sense right? and with the help of anatomy (aka what if humans had wings), itll furthermore increase the exhaustion ofc they manage to make the wingspan big but then again the force needed to lift off...

mmmmmmmmmm but i mean ignoring that- ignoring all that...

it's weird how as an undead, karl doesnt need to eat, drink, sleep or anything that the human body does to survive. hes literally dead. but that isnt the weird part if i search up effects of brain damage.. ignoring the disability of the senses, pta, personality and general cognitive stuff... theeres also things about sleep. to be specific something like narcolepsy ...and if karl suffers from prolonged tbi bc it cant heal.. and obv tbi results in cognitive disability.. uh wouldnt that mean he would have to fall "asleep" at some point- but it doesnt make sense bc he doesnt need it like- TF IS THIS PARADOX?????
