Episode 6, "Our Mrs. Reynolds" Reaction

Episode 6, "Our Mrs. Reynolds" started out with the coolest shooting scene ever! Weirdly enough it reminded me of the game Oregon Trail I used to play in elementary school. The coolest part of this show, is that every episode has a really light and fluffy scene that shows their humanity and happiness. But then it turns out to be really bad or not what it seemed at all. I think that just proves how messed up the world they are living in really is. 

The down right BEST part about this episode is that Malcom accidentally married a local. "Mr. Reynods sir, I'm your wife." His face was just priceless. And then of course she thought he was going to kill her... but BUT WAIT, THIS CHICK HE "MARRIED" IS CRAZY. She tries to seduce Mal and ends up poisoning him. She took it too far when she knocked out Wash!! Nobody messes with Wash. But then, INARA KISSES MAL which is so lame because he's passed out. But then he thinks she kissed the wife because she fainted too!  Even though it was him!!! Also, Inara's jealousy of Mal's marriage was too good. Even though the chick was just a really cool thief. I'm getting really sick of them not being together. 

Once and again I don't have coherent words. This show is too good.

Episode 5, "Safe" Reactions

I really liked episode 5, "Safe" because it was a combination of all the things I love about this show and then some. Aside from the typical gun fights and witty banter, I got to know more about River and Simon's past. Seeing their childhood at the beginning of the episode sort of humanized River for me. Before this, she seemed more like a damaged science experiment. Then, when she was dancing with all of the villagers, you can see that she is still a happy child. But then of course.. when things seem sweet... the Shepherd is shot and Simon and River are kidnapped. When Mal decided to leave River and Simon behind I was really surprised. I kept waiting for there to be a secret plan that only he knew about. I really figured he had grown and was more sympathetic towards his crew. I wanted to feel sympathetic for the people who kidnapped them because they were sick and just wanted a doctor, but then they were crazy witch hunters so... no. And then firefly got even more intense and tried to burn River at the stake for being a witch. This show defies genres it's just TOO COOL. Sorry I can't form more coherent words about this.  And then, right before they are both about to die, Malcolm comes back for them and saves them. I knew he'd be back. Overall, I really, REALLY loved this episode. 

Side note, WHAT IS UP WITH RIVER. I started feeling more okay about her and then she just read that little girls mind? I can't take this anymore
